  1. My crafter side is now very enthused. (And Experimentation makes the mad scientist in me positively gleeful!)

Pre-adorned gear? Tinkered adornment removers? Ooooooooh, yeah…

If this is all just for the xpac, it looks like it will make crafters VERY happy…

  2. Dude, you’re updating as they go, thank you! This is all great, gives a good idea on what to expect. Tho I’d love a bit more info on the whole 280 AA with expansion. Is it per toon that gets to L90 and bing, 280 and leveling? A permanent thing for every toon that’s created after CoE?

That’d mean there’s no reason to level lock to harvest AAs anymore, not when you can get them all in a chunk at L90. I can see the appeal…but me, I like to level lock here and there, using the points as my toon grows. Something to be said about having young toons with their Class and Subclass trees filled to 50/50 early on.

Thank you again for all of this reporting, I for one appreciate it!

  3. theres a lot interesting for adventure as well, especially for the adornments and new prestige.

What does the 280 AA reward with expansion mean? are we getting a reward for having more than 280 AA or are they saying they’ll buff people up to 280 AA if they buy the expansion? I cant think they’d do the buff thing, not that that would really bother me but it would be odd.

I’m wondering if the deconstruct items thing is like the Guild Wars 2 version. would be kinda nice since all i really do with old gear is either sacrifice it or sell it to the merchant.

  4. @Atan

That may be what the “adjustment to mentor experience” is all about, mentors one shotting everything. I’ve heard many complaints that when mentoring the experience is boring because the higher level player is so powerful. Hopefully that’s what is being tuned up.

  5. well looks good except, I am wondering if in a group or duo and on a healer does this mean if I am not dps I get no xp? bah if that is true! still wish they had said more on the zones, wondering if its gonna be like SS and really just 3 new zones all packed into easy, hard and raid.. I hope not content gets boring so fast now. But guess we will have to wait and see ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Wow so only tweak I’m hearing on templars is “they now cure as fast as inquis”…If this means our recast of one group cure is dramaticly lowered then good if not wont mean crap.

  7. @Breanna

Healing puts you on the mobs hatelist. its why when a inqi preheals the and you body pull the mobs immediatly try to hit the healer.

As for the zones i believe they are 9 seperate. They did say (Not repurposed) after them so im thinking that means 9 different instances, or at least i hope thats what that means.

  8. Thanks Feldon for doing such wonderfull job with keeping us informed. I can’t wait to see those videos you’ve recorded ๐Ÿ˜‰

Could you please ask developers on EQ2: Chains of Eternity Panel one question?
Why FTP player should buy this new x-pac? I mean, will Free-to-Play player be able to wear at least items from quests? Pretty sure they will be all legendary again…

  9. What this really does is put a damper on the soloer using a merc.. now they get less xp then if they soloed alone.. and for those that multibox.. because now the toons you are totting behind you have to do something or get no xp… But that’s OK there are ways around that..

Right now you split group xp 50-50 with the merc. I don’t think anything is changing there.

  10. “Green adornments are both crafted or dropped. Crafted ones are tinkered. Low level up to max level.”

This is crap. Why would a tinkerer make an adornment? Who’s brilliant idea was this?

“Items in Chains of Eternity drop with a yellow or red adornment already applied”

Huh? So no more need for faction? Shards no longer viable? An important questions here:

In rift, you had two options. 1) Destory the adorns and keep the item or 2) destroy the item and keep the adorns. How is this going to work? Is there a penalty for removing adorns?

    1. Tinkering is way easier and cheaper to skill up than adorning which, if you read the notes is getting a new tier of white adorns anyway.

If you want to be successful as a crafter in this expansion, skill up tinkering. I did it in 2 days. If you did the Harvesting Obsession or Coldain Prayer Shawl, you’ve quite frankly done something 10 times harder for a less powerful reward than making a new class of item.

      Tinkering. Just do it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Tinkering actually makes sense to me. Tinkering was invented by Gnomes. Gnomes have created artificial life (ie: Klak’Anon and various other Things they make). These new adornments grow. So it makes sense, at least to me.

  12. Where does it say you wil get 0 xp if your not on hate list lol ?

All it says is you wont get the group xp penalty if your on the hate list. If your not on the hate list your gona get the same amount of xp you would normally get in a group.

If you get on the hate list ull be rewared with more xp.

It’s very difficult to catch the meaning of everything being said on stage and transcribe it at the same time. If I missed the meaning on this, I’ll change it once I’ve re-watched the videos.
