A few days ago, I finally got around to doing some updates to Dethdlr’s Adornment Calculator. Thanks to everyone who sent in bug reports over the last several months. I think I’ve gotten all of them taken care of now but there may still be a few in there somewhere.
Also, I’ve added a second white adornment dropdown for each slot since a lot of the Skyshrine items have two white adornment slots. Some two handers even have three white slots but I didn’t add a third dropdown. Just use the secondary dropdown for those cases and make sure not to choose reuse speed since that doesn’t work in the primary slot.
If you don’t see the second white slot dropdown when you load the calculator, you’re seeing a cached version. Try holding down Shift and Ctrl keys and press F5, or click the Refresh button/icon in your browser or whatever button/clicking combination you have to do to convince it to really reload the page and you should see the new version.
I still haven’t added in the public quest adornments or the class specific adornments for beastlords, those are still on the list of things to do.
As usual, let me know if you find anything out of whack.
Dethdlr
In the “right ear” slot +164 Health is selected by default, though it looks like it’s not getting factored into the calculation results.
Oh, and Troub class red adorns aren’t showing up right.
Thanks for the update!
ahd beastlord are still not in it. ^^’
Wow. Somehow the wrong version of the code got out there. That wasn’t even close to what was supposed to be there. The right ear slot should be fixed now. I need to see if I can find out what you’re talking about with the Troub class red adorns though.
Update: Ok, found the problem with the Troub class red adorns. That problem has been in there since day one and nobody ever bothered to mention it before. lol. The problem is that I had some adornments flagged as being for the Troubadour class. Problem is, EQ2 spells that word, Troubador so they weren’t showing up. Should be fixed now.
Thank you for the update Dethdlr! I’ve used this resource so many times its awesome.
Thanks for the great update Dethdlr! Super useful tool.
hehe, think we got the same idea. I was just asking hubby last week to fix my translation of your calculator ;p
You’re missing a white slot adorn on primary: Velious2 2 handed primaries may have 3 white adorns it seems. Velious1 dropped 2 handed primaries can also have 2 yellow or 2 red adorns.
Ah, and you didn’t add the Bestlords, they still give the “beta” text.
@Whilhelmina: Thanks for pointing out the 2 yellow and 2 red adorn slots for some of the 2 hand weapons. I knew I was forgetting something. 🙂 The other things you pointed out though are listed in the article. 🙂
ooops, sorry *blush*
Seems I skipped the last sentence
Thanks for the update.
I wouldn’t worry about accommodating 2 handers.
If someone uses one then they won’t have a secondary. To my knowledge there are no 2-handed weapons with more slots than both primary and secondary combined. Maybe need a note for a reminder to some?
Very useful tool and thank you for your hard work Dethdlr, one discrepancy I did notice, is that for both yellow and red adorns, is that your missing the cb adorns that can now be placed in all slots, besides just the traditional shoulders and legs. Regardless still good stuff man, thanks for the cool tool 🙂
@Striinger: That’s pretty much what I plan on doing, I’d just like it to say something about it on the page so it doesn’t look like it was just forgotten (like it actually was, lol).
@Veteran81: Thanks for the heads up on those crit bonus adornment. I’ve updated the tool to reflect the proper slots. EQ2U sure does make it easier to verify that kind of thing now. 🙂 Ouch! I think I just hurt my shoulder trying to pat myself on the back. lol.
Thanks for the update, loved it but it was missing too much for me to use alone before. Looks like the bugs I reported are all fixed. 😛
So, I do not see the updated site? still only 1 yellow adorn etc, what should i do?
@Aotulan: There’s only one yellow and red adorn dropdown per slot right now. If you’re seeing two white dropdowns for each slot, you’re seeing the updated site.
