Dungeon Maker Items Price Drop

From EverQuest2.com:

What’s better than the amazing Dungeon Maker system introduced with Age of Discovery? Cheaper Dungeon Maker items, of course!
Whether it’s getting the boss pack of spawners – reduced from 1800 DM (Dungeon Marks) to 150 DM — or one of the many cool Glass Weapons available from 100 to 750 DM, we want to make items purchased with Dungeon Marks more accessible to you! It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a specific consumable or a decorative piece of armor, there is something for everyone available via Dungeon Marks.

So starting today, February 27, 2012 jump in game and check out the new reduced prices!

I know no one was really using the dungeon maker but jeez. It must be really bad when they have to do this. Anyone out there still regularly create dungeons and see a return in DM’s from people running it?

Its like the drundr ore “fix” all over again.

    Stage 1 (“reduce cost”): complete.
Stage 2 (“increase DM payouts”): pending

Well I am going to be the odd one out and say I like the Dungeon Maker, it is a fun little pass time and it has allowed me to build my alt’s AAs with relative ease.

I have no doubt it could be better but I have no major issues with it.

I agree, it can be a way to pass the time. But like everything lately, they started wayyy to high on the price for stuff.

DM will be great once we can run them with our own characters. Until then, I only build dungeons, I don’t run them…

Yes, I use it and am building a decorated one since quite some time. This change will allow to see more different bosses around and not always the same old ones. The 1800 -> 150 price drop is amazing.

Better to start high and need to lower the price than the other way around. Can you imagine the rage if they needed to raise prices?

with that being said… Yeah I tried it a few times and thought it was horribly boring. Maybe I just picked some bad dungeons?

In my opinion, most are bad because there’s only some random mobs put down by clusters of 3-4, changing all the time, with absolutely no decoration.

I’ll start really being interested once I can use MY OWN CHARACTER.

As far as decoration I don’t really care. As long as they use some unique mobs instead of only the starters and have some creative mob placement/encounters I’d be happy.

They have an outline of how to make it better. I enjoy it hear and there especially when just on vent goofin’off or waiting for one guy to flesh out our group/raid.

I especially evangelize using dm points when we’ve died 26 times no Warmaster Korok Hai in SS and people need to buy DM exceptional repair kits to repair because nobody brought a bot including me. :0.

Lowering prices is a good start to see some variety… now just the long awaited additional maps, additional decorations, additional aventurers, and little pump in power.. playing my own toon.. meeeh.. I play my own toon all day long.

They continue to display the absolute highlest levels of incompetence in every aspect of how they are running the game.
They want to encourage the use of this… So they make it less useful to some by removing items from the rewards that can be purchased?

All I’m seeing as of Feb 28th is a bunch of removed items and INCREASED prices…
