Sentinel’s Fate brought us The Sundered Frontier and Stonebrunt Highlands but also brought some new quests to the Kingtom of Sky zones. Many of the islands have received new quests near the cloud stations. There was also a questline added called The Lost Drednever Team. With GU56, this questline is now listed in the Storylines tab of the quest journal. EQ2 Wiki has writeups for the whole questline and we’ve got links to get you started.
In Tenebrous Tangle on the Temple Grounds there is a gnome named Bilgeron Cogsworth IV. Bilgeron is a L.O.S.T Explorer. He will explain to you what L.O.S.T. stands for.
Bilgeron will give you the quest Cogs on the Droags. This is the first in a series of 20 solo level 57-70 quests that take you through all three Kingdom of Sky zones. Through the course of the questline you are rewarded with seven class specific armor pieces. The look of these items is similar to the T7 relic armor from Kingdom of Sky, and is unique to each of the 24 classes in the game.
When you have completed the entire questline, your final reward is your very own Self Contained Cloud mount.
I think you mean the t7 relic armor, but otherwise it’s a great writeup 🙂 These quests are a great source of XP and AA. My main ran out of quests in SF and Stonebrunt at 87 or so, and I went back to do these new quests. I dinged 90 in the Bonemire, and got several AA in the process, without mentoring down. I would recommend mentoring down if you’re above the level, as there are a ton of solo nameds in the quest areas that give good AA (and transmuting fodder, if you’re of the appropriate skill level).
This was an especially fun quest line and has a still useful reward … frankly ANY questline wirth mounts would be worth doing … in for no other reason than to collect more mounts !
@foozlesprite: You are correct, should have been T7. Fixed.
I did basically the same thing on my Zerker, ran out of quests and hit TT to find more. I had run some of the new quests in KoS on other characters after SF came out but didn’t stumble across this questline until this past weekend. Had no idea it even existed. I was quite surprised when the set pieces started being rewarded, especially the zerker helm with the horns. 🙂 Definately a worthwhile questline to run.
I agree the questline is a really nice boost, but more importantly for those players coming up and hit that 60s gap in experience, its a great source to get through to 70 and RoK and TSO, an area that was really lacking for awhile.
The relic armor appearance is sweet, too, though its comical I’ve heard people on the sony forums complain that it shouldnt be so easily obtained, as they worked so hard to get theirs (people complaining about KoS armor being replicated? really?)
Nice writeup, I had done the questline a while back, but am enjoying the storyline tab – its a great add on, especially for new players or those who may not know about sites like eq2i.
