Feldon Looks like I’m not the only one who was concerned about Game Update 67: Darkness Dawns bumping up against SOE Live. As a fan site operator, I had a number of concerns about trying to report on and cover a Game Update while also trying to keep up with EverQuest II‘s 10th expansion and EverQuest Next which will both be making a splash in Vegas on August 1st through 4th, just 2 days after GU67 was slated to hit. Also, last time we had a Game Update just hours before SOE Live, there were some game issues that couldn’t easily be fixed as most of the EQ2 team were in Vegas.

i guess this means that its going to Beta on 7/23 and will go live August or September some time?
the original live date was july 30th iirc. looks like it will now be live july 23rd and on beta soon hopefully.
after a quick look on the eq2 forums holly says test will be updated this coming monday with the GU items
This is what’s euphemistically called a severe face saving action. As was correctly pointed out last time the brain trust at SOE bumped a live update with soe live we ran into a clusterfark of problems.
