In addition to a number of other player-requested changes, tweaks, and bug fixes, the coolest thing on the Test server right now may just be the evolution of the Guild Harvest Depot. The changes on Test dramatically increase the capacity and possible variety of materials which can be stored in the Guild Harvest Depot, as well as introducing a number of new types of storage container. With the new Depots, guilds will be able to de-clutter their Guild Bank of Poisons, Ammo, Totems (soon), Cure Potions, Food & Drink, Collectibles, Player-made Adornments, and Lore & Legend parts. These items will each go into their own storage containers.
From the Test Update notes:
- The maximum number of different resources that you can store in a Guild Harvest Depot has been increased from 200 to 1000.
- The maximum number of items in a single depot stack has been increased from 20,000 to 99,999.
- Several new Depots have been added as guild amenities! Check the “Depot” tab in your guildhall amenity list for details.
- You can now use the Deposit All button on depots to deposit every valid component from your bags.
Niami Denmother checked out the new Depot types and provided this list of the depot types and their stack capacities:
- Ammo depot [100]
- Collectibles depot [5000]
- Food & Drink depot [200]
- Fuel depot [100]
- Lore & Legend depot [500]
- Poison & Potion depot [200]
- White Adornment depot [500]
Players have expressed puzzlement at the Fuel depot (especially as it costs more than the Fuel Merchant amenity) but otherwise, the selection of depots has been met with a lot of player excitement. Eventually, the team intends to add a Recipe Book Depot and Spell Depot, but “unfortunately it’s going to take significantly more work than the other depots due to how our spellscrolls work” according to Omougi. As for when this will go live, Maevianiu had this to say:
The more testing we get the better the chance. We would *really* like to get it in before the holidays but need to get as much testing on it as we can. Our poor QA department has been working crazy hours non-stop for months and we keep sending stuff to them like the depots. So please the more you guys test this stuff out the better chance we have to get it on live soon.
Thanks to Dave “Maevianiu” Kish, Andy “Terrogaunt” Roecks, and Brian “Omougi” Ferguson who gathered so much player feedback at SOE Live and all pushed to make this happen.
/swoons with joy!
no improvement on the home depot ? thats still limited to 100 items
I’ve seen folks ask on that Test thread with no response, so I’m going to ask here:
What guild level and cost, please?
Thanks in advance.
and so what about the guild bank size who is so ridiculous (4 small bags for a level 95 guild), but with all this, it will help greatly.
Still some worry about access, if people need trusty access for get some shiny/arrow it will be a problem.
EACH depot need individual setting. We can want allow people to take from Arrow/Collectible/Food but perhaps not from fuel/Harvest.
I still hope they ll put a depot log (like the guild bank log) for see who deposit and who take and how much…. With mass product and harvest depot it’s possible to empty the depot “quickly” with craft by 100…
And for collectible if we cant filter shiny we dont have…. have to manualy click 5000 shiny for find the one we want is insane.
I still wait to see that on broker filter thing i dont need (already have) for spells/shiny/recipe…
Cant wait to see all this live…
And i wonder what they ll broke this time =)
(easy bet … call of veteran ? :P)
while think about depot and capacity…
Put a word about currency only stack by 200… When you have to pass 50.000 or more currency 200 by 200 it’s a nightmare (for BG token or even Dungeon maker token…)
also if possible , increase the amount of raws on harvest npcs
With the exception of the fuel depot(boggle?) great news for guild banks and players…however concerned at past history of issues with bottlenecking their dbase server for this crap….
How is this going to affect the broker, if every guild has plenty of space to store almost everything?
“The maximum number of different resources that you can store in a Guild Harvest Depot has been increased from 200 to 1000.”
About time!
better than i could have dreamed!
Xarous, at least on my server, I doubt it will affect the broker much, the item types getting new depots aren’t terribly highly priced as it is.
