There are not one but TWO deals on StationCash this July 4th, and only on July 4th!
If you purchase StationCash at SOE.com, or using any of the in-game purchase screens, you get 40% off your StationCash purchase.
If you redeem any 1,500SC / 30 day card from retailers like Walmart, EB Games, etc. then you get 1,000SC bonus. So a Walmart 1500+500 card ($15) would redeem for a total of 3,000SC including the bonus. So it’s almost a Double SC day if you have a Walmart handy.
From SOE.com:
We’re celebrating our players this July 4th! For 24 hours*, get 40% off when you buy Station Cash with your Credit Card or Via PayPal.*
Do you have a $15 SOE Pre-Paid Game Card? We want you to enjoy the celebration too! Get an extra SC1000 when you redeem your $15 SOE Pre-Paid Game Cards on July 4th* only!!
*Offer valid only from 12:00am PDT July 4th, 2013 until 11:59pm PDT July 4th, 2013. Excludes purchases made via SMS
1500+1000 = 3000?
wallmart cards give 1500 + 500 bonus so would that wind up being 4k ??
It’s 1000SC bonus, not double.
No. 1500+500+1000 = 3000.
So the 40% off is buying Sc or is it on the Items
Now if I could be sure that EQ Next will have Station Cash and that I will like the game I would be logging in and buying some of this.
A level 1 halfling mage kicking Nagafen’s toe would have a greater chance than the chance of EQN not using Station Cash. Microtransactions is how SOE works now, ant that means SC.
Not close enough to double for me. I still have over $100 worth of sc sitting in my account, so I’ll wait before redeeming the cards I purchased from GameStop a few weeks ago.
I tend to stock up when it is triple, and then not spend it on much. I did buy the wash basin and laundry basket set during the rebate sale. I’m such a big spender 🙂
Two USELESS deals…
Where is the double xp
I wouldn’t call it a useless deal. Sure it’s not as great as double or triple sc but still.
Having few characters I’m in a hurry to level I see double exp as more useless so it’s largely a matter of perspective.
And Here i was ready and waiting for the triple SC they had on the last few 4th of July holidays. :\
/puts wallet back in purse to save for later instead of the big splurge planned for a triple SC day
I used an SC card today to renew my membership from 7/20/13-8/20/13. It’s not showing up. Not only that, but I didn’t get the 500sc that normally comes with the monthly renewal nor did I get the extra 1000sc.
So yeah little annoyed but hopefully it will be ironed out once they get back to me via customer support.
If you used an SC card for membership yesterday, you didn’t get the 1000 bonus. And gold membership purchased with a 1500SC card only gives 500 bonus SC if it was purchased at an American Walmart. Hope they don’t tell you ‘sorry go away’ ><
lol yeah that pretty much told me what you said. Oh well, spent ingame plat for it, at least I got the monthly subscription
With SOE paying out a fixed rate for Player Studio items, they could actually lose money on each sale if they went too big on SC discounts. I doubt you’ll see any more double/triple SC deals.
Isn’t player studio exclusive to EQ2 currently? I doubt that makes an influence for the other games like PS2.
Both the original Everquest and Free Realms have Player Studio items as well.
Well still a bogus hypothesis tbh. PS2 probably makes up 1/3 of the total of SoE customers right now.
It can’t be a bogus hypothesis. OP put forward a potential idea with facts backing it up. Until such time as facts are brought up which directly refutes it, it’s still a valid hypothesis.
@Yagyu I know a lot of people want x2 xp but they been doing that x2 a lot I think we had it more then 3 times so far this year also we had that on Memorial Day. The only Sc event we had have been the cheaper cards and Rebate sale and maybe there was a x2 this year.
I know this is not a x2 or 3 Sc event but it helps
We got double XP in Planetside 2 this week ever since Thursday. We got it more then three times this year as well. Maybe SoE didn’t flip the switch this week? Who knows.
Exp is already so insanely easy to get, the last thing we need is yet another double exp weekend. Things like this are infinitely more interesting.
