EQ2 Prestige Home Poll — Neighborhoods

Written by Feldon on . Posted in Art, Appearance, Housing, Daybreak Cash

We’re a tad late on this one, but if you miss the Qeynos and/or Freeport neighborhoods which were gobbled up by last year’s Revamps and wish you could make a home of them, there’s an in-game poll you might want to give your input on.

The poll starts with this letter:

Greetings, Norrathians!

Remember that zone that you thought would make a great home? Well, we’ve received many such sugggestions from players, like you, for future prestige homes based upon existing zones. We’d like to put them to a vote. If you would take a moment to give us your opinion, we would appreciate it!

Safe travels,

~ The EQII Development Team

The poll then goes on to ask which of the Qeynos and then Freeport neighborhoods players would be interested in purchasing for StationCash.

I wonder when they are going to lock for players Oakmyst Forest or other zones and then sell them for SC…
I honestly don’t like what was done to Freeport and Qeynos after revamp especially locking neighborhoods. They should be open to anybody and we should be able to have our houses there if we wish so… It was good for so many years so I don’t understand that change, unless SOE planned to earn some extra money in the future…

to bad stone stair byway was not one of those. I honestly just want the zone back. Having created so many toons on the freeport side.

All I want is the ability to start new alts in Qeynos and Freeport again. Unless any new housing is guild housing, not interested.

I am perfectly fine with the revamps done to both Qeynos and Freeport. Only negative thing I can think of is that they didn’t give as much of a revamp to Qeynos as they did with Freeport. Felt like more of an thought compared to Freeports revamp, especially since they used random recycled assets from pre-existing zones for decoration. Also was hoping that the yards and sewers would have been revamped to not feel inconsistent with the game’s overall new leveling path.

IMO, MMO’s should be flowing. Places should change over time to accommodate the relevance of the game’s lore. Hell one day I hope they allow players to pitch in ideas to revamp stuff like TS. Would love to mess around with that as a level designer.

I voted for willowood but now I am sorry thinking it is much like the treehouse we can already stick in a house. Oakmyst might be fun.:)

Meh . . . The Qeynos neighborhoods might have been nice, but being from Freeport, those were all run-down and dilapidated. I’m glad Lucan condemned them.

What I REALLY want for a house is Harrow’s End . . . all of it, unedited, in its entirety: teleporters, floating water, swimming tubes, and yes, even Melanie Everling singing . . . of course, like the Dreadcutter’s home music, I’d like to be able to click her to shut her up every once in a while . . .

I’m with Pluto. They have more than enough prestige houses. I only ever use one house unless I’m using one as a warehouse for crap I get from quests. Guild halls, however, could really use some variety. I want the Felwithe prestige house to be a skin for T1 and T2 guild halls.
Tell me than Skin able guild halls couldn’t be cool. Maybe the storm island as a hall with your own custom castle and a ship, perhaps?

It was just plain dumb to take content out the game still cant see a good reason why the “revamps” were done typical of whats gone on with the game over the last few years though, tickle around with stuff that could be left and leave other parts of the game crying out for a revamp,(TS,RV etc to think of a couple).
