  1. Yet more evidence that this wretched deal should be officially buried.

And yes, not only entirely predictable but actually predicted. Anyone with half a brain cell knew from the community’s research (and the past experience of German players used to PSS1’s little ways) that this was going to happen.

Chances are the hack was made by one of their juvenile volunteer GMs going a little further into their database than they trusted him to.

  2. Unfortunately there is no 100% security. Look St the news who got hacked the last weeks (Twitter, Apple, Microsoft etc.).

I hope this security breach will motivate pss1 to improve the security of their platform before they launch the European EverQuest II website which is being build at the moment.

  3. *laugh*
I have those pro7-spammers locked out of my mailserver – so I most likely missed the message *laugh* (they couldn’t stop spamming me although everything was set not to send me any ad mails …)

But yeah – this is an interesting fact.

There also is something very interesting about the “transition” of DCUO.
Those of us who got forced out of SOE-Home into the PSSG-Arms and never completed the “migration” … well … we are not able to access our DCUO accounts anymore at all.
PSSG stopped migration a while ago and no accounts can complete the process anymore now. Leading to one thing: We can’t log in using SOE account and can not log in using a PSSG account because we can’t create one anymore!

PSSG CSR obviously told another player that they are considering a reversal of the transition … that is interesting … is that “deal” dead, finally? (Sorry for not having links – it’s all on the SOE and PSSG DCUO boards.)

A fellow gamer here lately said something about PSSG and all the “free 2 play” games they aquired lately “now … all the trash to PSSG – so we do not have to worry about giving trashy games a chance. We just need to avoid PSSG and we are all set because trashy games end up with them.”
Sad to see that games like EQII fall into that category then ;-(
