Figures they would break the most important channels. I didnt like the SOEmote. I can’t comeplain too much. Least they fixed the chat lag on Oasis
LOL.
No it isn’t SOEmote at all causing the issue…
Like I said before this one is worthless as teats on a bull.
SOEmote can’t deal with glasses or beards worth a rat. I have both.
Way to kill a potentially fun feature by releasing it not-ready-for-prime-time, guys.
That’s what they do, DM, DF both suffered from the same thing.
Complacency is king there, can’t drill it into them.
The quote by Windstalker says it all, they are not even willing to own up to the fact that SOEmote is ~100% of what is wrong with the chat. Instead a ludicrous statement like the one above is made, where the truth is most likely at no point was infrastructure considered, and if it was the answer was “Well we will just shut down the voice services except for SOEmo, because by god we will see to it that it gets used, in fact we are going to default it to be on, never has there been a web cam hooked to my computer and there never will be yet I get bombarded with this steaming pile of dung of a feature for the past 3 logins.
Just like the polls Smokeblower and Schmuckley want to say “LOOK AT THESE USAGE NUMBERS!!!! 390% more players used SOEMote than did in April!” If they wanted true number let the users decide if they want to enable it or not to begin with, but that isn’t what they want they want validation and justification for this garbage.
I am reveling at least in the fact that it is being pretty ill received of the forums overall, that is a good thing.
yes SOEmote is so awsome I was raiding and talking in vent and poof it wanted to calibrate my webcam…. instant lock up…. stupid feature…. like people really look at a toons face close enough to see what the facial features actually look like and if they did I’m sure I would rather boot them from group for paying attention to my toons face and not doing the job they were invited to do (tank/dps/heal)
Released early? That’s unpossible. SoE would never…
I do think it’s a silly worthless feature, but I also do hope that those that it’s intended for enjoy it. I hope it wasn’t wasted time but just time spent on a part of the game I’m not interested in. Unfortunately, I’m not getting that impression from the forum feedback. I see fanboys defending it, but not praising it…and I haven’t seen a single positive thread about it yet. I did notice SJ lurking about the last couple days…and in my head could only assume it was because he wanted to see all the positive feedback that never appeared.
