- Base Population in the contested dungeon now has legendary and fabled drops.
QUESTS
10th ring heritage Quests
- It’s no longer possible to equip more than one coldain insignia ring from the heritage quest line.
Iceshard Keep
- “A Prince Among Kromzek”: Quest text has been updated to better clarify what is expected of the players. Additionally, players will now be able to spot Halkon from much further away.
- “Rage Against the War Machine”: Adventurers should now have a better idea where they must position themselves to spy on the Kromzek conversation.
ABILITIES
- Wards can no longer block Power Drains.
ITEMS
- Djinn Bracelet of the Sky can now be moved back and forth from your mount tab by examining it. The bracelet is now No Trade instead of Heirloom.
- Cloud of Bats now properly suspends the bat illusion when the Freeblood is in combat.
- The yellow adornment slot on a few Challenge mode weapons and shields has been removed.
- If you had a yellow adornment on the following items it will be removed from the item and refunded to you when you log in:
- Rime Coated Blade of Ice
- Buckler of the Monomaniac
- Barrier of Swirling Spirits
- Wall of Impenetrability
Two things… One, The quest “The Prince AMONGST Kromzeks”, not Among. The problem was never spotting Halkon, it was just the quest in general. Knock over this statue in this room, while this and that. And the terrible pathing of the giants. The Kromzeks, or any giant for that matter couldn’t find their ass with a compass, or a GPS.
Two, Why all the Rift advertisements on EQ2 Wire? Is this the new way, down with EQ2 and up with RIFT? I have lost some good friends to that game. But I am not downing it, because I know nothing of it, nor do I want to. But I come to this website to read about news of Everquest 2. Not some new game flashing in my face… Thanks…

I don’t know about “all the Rift advertisements on EQ2 Wire”. There is a single banner ad that takes you to our sister site RiftWire.com. A lot of readers of EQ2Wire who have moved on to Rift asked us to create a site for their new game.
At some point, we’ll rotate in other ads. Last time I had ads up, all Google was giving us was Gold/Plat sites and Evony, so I canceled them. I need to find a new ad network.
