Here are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions we are seeing about the new EverQuest II expansion Tears of Veeshan. This article will be updated as more details are found!
How do I get started in Tears of Veeshan?
The Tears of Veeshan expansion begins with the Tears of Veeshan: The Eternal Broodlands Signature quest, which you will receive an in-game mail about, and which you can pick up in either Qeynos or Freeport. Once on the quest, you will begin a path that takes you to the Vesspyr Isles.
How to travel directly to the new zones without doing the quest lines?
- If you are in a guild hall, you may travel by Druid Ring to Vesspyr Isles. Player-summoned druid rings may or may not show Vesspyr Isles as a travel option. This has been reported as a bug. Tinkerers may also craft a [eq2u]Wormhole Generator: Obol Plains[/eq2u] and then fly to the druid ring there to travel to Vesspyr Isles.
- There is a new overland zone, Vesspyr Isles which is the dragon version of the Ethernere (afterlife). It is based on Barren Sky but completely transformed.
- There are 9 new dungeons, which you can read more about in our Tears of Veeshan Heroic Zones Preview:
- The Fractured Hive
- Nexus Core
- High Keep
- High Keep: The Pickclaw Depths
- Stratum of the Protectors
- Ssrez’Ras: Chamber of Stasis
- Temple of Veeshan: Laboratory of Mutation
- Temple of Veeshan: Halls of the Betrayer
- Temple of Veeshan: Vulak’Aerr’s Dominion
- There are 2 new raid zones:
- Accursed Sanctum a Shissar temple, is inclusive of the group zones Stratum of the Protectors + Chamber of Stasis.
- Temple of Veeshan
Do I have to do all the subquests around the Signature quest to complete it?
Yes, most of the subquests must be completed to progress the Signature quest. Some of the subquests (especially for Harla Dar) are quite engaging and tie in storylines with other iconic dragons from Norrath’s history including Lord Vyemm, Wuoshi, as well as a surprise (and unwelcome) guest.
EQ2 ZAM has updated their quest writeup for the ToV Signature quest to very clearly explain how you pick up the subquests and in what order.
How can I travel back to Vesspyr Isles more quickly? Is there a whisper column?
In the process of completing overland quests for a drakota near the Dragon Ring, you will receive a [eq2u]Vesspyr Isles Whisper Column[/eq2u] that will port you straight from your house to Vesspyr Isles.
The overland Quests are rewarding just a single armor piece, usually not even usable for my class, can I exchange it?
Due to the itemization changes, there are now at eight different sets of armor available to players, including DPS, health, autoattack, and tank sets. Rather than requiring players to make snap decisions about each quest reward without knowing what armor choices there would be in the whole quest series, a new mechanism was added that allows you to take exchange quest rewards for an [eq2u]Veasna’s Item Exchange[/eq2u] token which then lets you buy a more appropriate quest reward.
These are available from an NPC named Veasna. Located at /waypoint 34, 197, 22 near Falinpol on the central Daarspire Island.
Kander responded to concerns that the new system is confusing with this comment:
The majority of feedback from beta was that people were overwhelmed by the choices offered directly from the quest reward. We opted to give you a usable set of gear and give you the opportunity to switch it and shop at the merchant. So to answer your question, no we are not putting the choices back in the quest rewards. Yes, the merchant is there and back in-game. At the end of the quest lines we will send you an in-game mail to alert you of the trade merchants existence.
What are the tiers of armor in Tears of Veeshan?
Arcane and Potent gear is awarded in an Ornate Crate of Goods for completing the dungeon missions. These items are all upgradeable with Etyma-purchased (or player-crafted for less Etyma) gems.
- Cryptic – Advanced Solo (up to 4 yellow gems)
- Arcane – Tier 1 Heroic (up to 4 blue gems)
- Potent – Tier 2 Heroic (up to 3 green gems)
- Energized – Tier 1 Raid (1 red gem)
- Mystical – Tier 2 Raid (1 purple gem)
What else can you tell me about the Heroic zones?
All of the Heroic zones in Tears of Veeshan are accessible from the Vesspyr Isles overland zone. Each heroic zone has at least four mini bosses and one main boss. The subbosses drop the same items as the Advanced Solo zones, the Cryptic armor set.
The main bosses of the first Completing missions for the first six heroic zones in the expansion rewards Arcane armor.
The main bosses in Completing missions in the Temple of Veeshan zones rewards Potent armor.
Heroic zones also drop jewelry, cloaks, weapons, purple adornments, Spirit Stone (green adornment) recipes, as well as rare, powerful items including some best-in-slot items. Heroic zones also perplexingly drop versions of the Arcane and Potent items with no Stamina or Gem slots.
What loot comes from Advanced Solo zones? Why are we back to mystery crates?
So, in Chains of Eternity, Advanced Solo loot was changed to a standard drop. This caused the Auction channel to be flooded 24/7 with players Selling Loot Rights (SLR) to the rare drops in Solo zones. This was never intended.
Completing Advanced Solo missions awards weapons and jewelry and/or a Cryptic armor item. It would behoove players who were running Heroic zones in Chains of Eternity and Siren’s Grotto to run the Advanced Solo zones a few times before plunging into the challenging Tears of Veeshan group zones.
Advanced Solo zones also rarely drop one of the purple adornment boxes which lets you pick one. They are VERY nice adornments.
What’s the quickest way to get [eq2u]Draconic Etyma[/eq2u], the expansion’s new heroic token?
- Heroic: Each of the nine dungeons have a daily (18 hr) mission: 3 [eq2u]Draconic Etyma[/eq2u]
- Heroic: Daily mission to a random zone: 3 Etyma
- Heroic: Weekly mission to two specific zones: 15 Etyma
- Heroic: Daily mission to kill the “Pillar” bonus heroic named in each zone. Available after completing the Tears of Veeshan signature quest. 5 Etyma.
- Adv Solo: Dungeon (18 hr repeat) mission: 1 Etyma
- Adv Solo: Daily mission that rewards: 1 Etyma
- Adv Solo: Weekly mission to two specific zones: 10 Etyma
- Tradeskill: Daily tradeskill mission: 1 Etyma
- Tradeskill: Weekly tradeskill mission: 10 Etyma
- Overland Shiny Collections in Vesspyr Isles: 3 Etyma
overland solo names award 1 EtymaThis has been changed as these mobs would be permacamped.
Are there Shiny collections in Tears of Veeshan?
Absolutely! There are at least 80 new shiny collections in Tears of Veeshan. Instead of the typical rewards, overland collections in the Vesspyr Isles reward 3 Draconic Etyma when turned in.
As you are flying between the islands of Vesspyr, you’ll notice three different kinds of floating orbs in the sky. They are:
- Light Mote: 300% flying speed buff (12 seconds)
- Ether Web: Flying collection shinies. There are a number of sets.
- Dark Mote: These have a random effect. They either Cancel all flight speed bonuses, Give you a Flying Collection Shiny, or increase your flight speed to 300%.
All the new gear seems to have these gem slots. Where do we get Gems from?
- [eq2u]Glimmering Yellow Gemstone[/eq2u], [eq2u]Brilliant Blue Gemstone[/eq2u], [eq2u]Deep Green Gemstone[/eq2u] all can be purchased with [eq2u]Draconic Etyma[/eq2u].
- [eq2u]Shining Red Gemstone[/eq2u] drop from zone bosses and avatars
- [eq2u]Mystical Purple Gemstone[/eq2u] – trade in 3 red gems
How can crafters create Yellow, Green, and Blue gems?
- Crafters who have earned enough Draconic Etyma from Adv Solo and Group zones may purchase recipes to craft Yellow, Green, and Blue gems with a reduced amount of Etyma.
Can I do anything with a 4-gem Cryptic or 4-gem Arcane armor piece when I get the Arcane or Potent upgrade?
- Yes! You may now buy an item from the Etyma vendor to take a 4-gem Cryptic or 4-gem Arcane armor piece and turn it into a Blue or Green gem, giving you a step into the next armor tier. This item also pops off ALL adornments.
Where can I read about the Itemization changes?
- Itemization in Tears of Veeshan has changed substantially, with the intention of giving players choices, rather than a linear progression path. Here are some links to read more about the changes:
Can you give me a TL;DR version of the Itemization changes?
No (or Few) Armor Class Restrictions – Armor is no longer tagged Mage, Scout, Priest, or Fighter. Instead, armor is restricted by material (Cloth, Leather, Chain, or Plate). This allows Chain Healers and Scouts to possibly use each other’s armor sets. The same goes for the other armor types.
Armor Sets by Purpose – Instead of most armor falling into one of 7 categories (Scout, Mage, Chain/Leather/Plate Fitghter, Leather Fighter, and Plate Fighter), armor is now broken up into accomplishing different goals. Some armor increases damage, some increases casting speed, some increases health and mitigation. There are several different sets.
Purple Adornments have replaced Yellow and Red Adornments. Purple adorns can be acquired in a variety of ways, in all tiers of content from Solo to the top raids.
Before Tears of Veeshan, Multiattack, AOE Autoattack, and Flurry compounded in such a way that a single weapon swing could account for 100 or more attacks being triggered, many of them also firing off Proc effects. This has been crushing the servers and also clogging the pipes of players’ internet connections.
To resolve this problem, Multiattack and DPS have been switched. Now, players will do fewer bigger hits, rather than lots of small hits. Scouts and Fighters who were running 700+ Multiattack and 200 DPS will want to swap out gear, add adornments, and reforge their gear until eventually they reach about 200 Multiattack and 700+ DPS. The conversion charts showing the soft and hard caps are here.
Shuffling Stats – Items don’t necessarily have the stats you are used to. Potency and Crit Chance can be hard to find. You may get an item that has a stat you aren’t too excited about, but it may reforge into one you need.
Upgradeable Items – Most of the Armor in ToV has gem slots, which can be upgraded with gems!
I’m unable to see the new Merc window, Channeler hotbars, etc. I have a custom UI, do I need to update?
As with every expansion, changes are made to the UI, which UI developers need to update to support. It is our understanding that ProfitUI, DarqUI, and DrumsUI have all updated. Please use the updaters for those!
Do we have to buy Mercenaries for 100SC each now?
No! The new Merc UI window is a little confusing as the “Return” button is at the very bottom. You can always re-summon your suspended merc with the command /merc resume.
Ok, so what are Merc Unlocks?
As a completely optional convenience feature, players may now purchase an unlock for their favorite Mercenaries and be able to summon them anytime, rather than having to travel back to their home city or find those mercs out in the world. This will allow you to have the game remember more than one merc for a character.
What’s up with Alternate Advancement changes?
- You can now earn up to 340 AA points.
- There is a new “Dragon” tree for each of the four Archetypes (Priest, Scout, Fighter, and Mage). There are Solo, DPS, and archetype-appropriate lines.
- The Heroic tree now allows you to spend 100 points, however buying a 2nd Heroic endline now costs 20 AA points, while a 3rd Heroic endline costs 30 AA points.
- NOTE: EQ2U has been fully updated to support the new Dragon AAs as well as saving AA specs to a file which you can then load into the game!
It seems the cost of Reforging increased fourfold. Is this intended?
Yes.
Where do we acquire Platinum in the expansion?
- Most of the overland quests now award at least 1 platinum piece.
- There are twenty (20) repeatable overland quests which award plat and can be repeated every 90 minutes.
- Each of the heroic zones has at least one repeatable plat quest.
- The daily Loyalty Reward tokens can be used to acquire 75 platinum every
53 days.
What gear is awarded from which Advanced Solo zones?
- Hive – Bracers
- Nexus Core – Weapons
- High Keep – Shoulders
- Pickclaw– Gloves
- Stasis – Helm
- Stratum – Boots
- ToV Halls – Legs
- ToV Labs – Chest
What gear is awarded from which Heroic zones?
- Hive: Arcane Boots or Arcane Gloves
- Nexus: Arcane Shoulders or Arcane Bracers
- High Keep: Arcane Helm or Arcane Legs
- Pickclaw: Arcane Helm or Arcane Legs
- Stratum: Arcane Chest, Potent Forearms
- Stasis: Arcane Chest, Potent Forearms, or Cloak
- ToV Halls: Potent Boots, Potent Gloves or Belt
- ToV Labs: Potent Boots, Potent Gloves, Potent Helm, Potent Shoulders
- ToV Vulak’Aeer: Potent Chest or Potent Legs
What are these bonus “column” named at the end of the heroic zones? What do they drop?
- Players who have completed the Tears of Veeshan signature quest will be able to see a clickable column after defeating the final boss of each Heroic zone. Clicking the column spawns a random bonus named. These names have a high amount of hitpoints (Hierophant has been bug reported for having 3.9 billion HP), but award a tradeskill material such as:
- [eq2u]Ancestral Blade Fragment[/eq2u]
- [eq2u]Ancestral Globe of Manifestation[/eq2u]
- [eq2u]Spectral Residue[/eq2u]
- [eq2u]Shard of Spectral Light[/eq2u]
I heard that the Raid zones will have flagging like back in Kunark days, is this true?
This was considered in Beta, but in recognition of raid encounters that require specific raid setups, this requirement has been dropped. The only patterns that drop in raid zones which require flagging are the new Pirate Kings raid patterns.
What’s this “Revive here”? option in the Revive window?
You can read more about this in our article, but this gives players the choice to revive, even in-combat, This is only intended for soloing and the option will not appear if you are grouped or in a raid.
How much does the last boss in the third Temple of Veeshan group zone hurt?
This much:
Feldon I really appreciate all the hard work you put into this site. I thank you for your diligent work and write ups over the years.(They FAR exceed any and all of the Developers and Community Mangers SOE has ever had by miles)
That being said, wtf happened to this game? why has this been literally the worst expansion they have ever done? There’s so much broken content in PVE an PVP (and yes I know you don’t seemingly care about pvp either) I don’t understand the behavior that is going on at SOE at all.
Its not good business to say one thing and then do another. Its not good business to tell players they are knowingly releasing broken content and won’t have fixes anytime soon. They took too much pride in wanting to reach a release date, that they completely sacrificed quality for it and now all players are suffering for it.
Honestly I would of rather they pushed back the release date by even 2 to 4 months, instead of having the steaming pile of an expansion we presently have on our hands. There community manager should of had the fortitude to tell the community, “You know what guys, we recently received abunch of surprise laysoff and we will need more time to do things right” Had that happened I would of continued my subscription and thank him for his honesty in a personal message.
You know me somewhat Feldon. I’ve messaged (every so infrequently) you over the years on concerns with this game. You know that I love this game. How did we get here.
I hope that they can salvage this, but for me its a mute point at this time. I quit and I’m not coming back. Hope to see you in EQnext and hope they don’t do what they did here with TOV.
Respectfully,
Lethlian
Total BS. They moved the deadline back a month due to the layoffs, and worked 100 hour weeks to get the expansion shipped.
And what would you have expected after a 2-4 month delay? I’m sorry you think the expansion is “a steaming pile” but you haven’t given a SINGLE example of what you think is actually wrong.
And it’s not that I don’t care about PvP. It’s that SOE has spent MONTHS over the last 3 years trying to fix it, making hundreds and hundreds of changes based on player requests. The result? Nagafen is a ghost town. Most folks from Nagafen moved to Antonia Bayle for the convenience of chatting, and just play Battlegrounds if they want their PvP fix. At this point, there is nothing SOE can do to to win PvP folks back due to just the passage of time, and how attractive Battlegrounds are. I would say any more time spent on PvP is a very poor time investment.
I think we got off on the wrong step here Feldon.
First off I’m genuinely apologetic for the layoffs. I don’t wish that kind of thing on anyone, trust me I have mouths to feed too.
I’m not an un-rational person or some spam hate poster here. Thought yes just like anyone else I do and will get concerned or upset about things and granted I’ve probably posted a few times when I shouldn’t have. It may seem ridiculous that I would be concerned over a video game, but damn man I’ve spent years playing this game and I have friends in it too, just like you’ve made friends with the develop team. (I completely respect that)
Secondly you know what, you called me out on it and looking back at it, yes I’m sorry I called it a steaming pile. Let my frustration get the better of me I suppose. So yes I’m sorry for that.
2 to 4 months Feldon would of gave them time! It would of meant they din’t have to kill themselves with 100 hour work weeks.(Now don’t go thinking I don’t appreciate that) I’m a military guy and a civil servant, so I know a little something about long hours too. I can tell you after a 10 to 12 hour mandatory shift, you just start to get stupid and when that happens, mistakes happen. (not only to mention longer hours then that) Longer time gives them a better QA man. I felt like you gave me a little bit of a company man response with that one.
They DID FIX it Feldon that’s the thing! They did! right up to the point of before this expansion hit, the fixes they did prior in the big PVP update were outstanding! Trust me I wasn’t asking for any changes, nor were allot of other people! Minor things, you know what there always there, but dang man the system was streamline.
You want examples okay look at my post I made on your site just a couple Threads down. You want me to give you my personal opinion on some then sure here it goes – Stat inflation They’ve handled that poorly since DOV and it hasn’t gotten any better. Now with TOV you have EVERYONE hitting caps on every stat just about maybe one or two. Imo that’s bad for mechanics, you don’t give people anything more to strive for when they hit the wall. Also Astronomical numbers. HP through the roof. DPS in the multiple millions? Higher numbers hurt more casual players for a variety of reasons I just don’t want to have to further explain.
Passive Game play procs (items) should not undermine class abilities i.e CA(s) Spell(s) Heal(s) and AA(s) You take away skill and player inter-action when I can depend on my one of many procs to hit for 500k, while my sniper shot hits for 120k.
The way heals work. From my understanding they increased HP totals so that the mechanic of one NPCs one shoting players and healers full bar healing could be managed. (who knows maybe I was given the wrong info or I understood it wrong) they could of negated that by making mana regen, heals and NPC damage % based instead of direct numerical base. Would of been much more streamline to %s.
Removing choice of gear selection except from Raids and making quested armor merchant swappable (then making that merchant a plat sink) Increased prices in Reforging for plat sinking without mention. Man I’m tired of giving examples, your making me feel like they’ve never done anything right, which isn’t true. But there you asked, I gave.
Also I’m not saying they did everything wrong feldon, its just a hard expansion to swallow/ get behind. I like the DPS/MA mechanic change. I’ve always like this games stat system and somewhat turn based combat system. The graphics, their still not bad ( a little dated, but not bad), just sucks that they guessed wrong with the way technology was headed in regard to CPUs and motherboards, but eh that was an honest mistake.
Feldon in the end i’m not trying to be a douche bag about it. I hope you can appreciate me being honest about it, without being rude at the same time. Again I personally thank you for the time you have invested over the years.
Regards,
Lethlian (ranger)
For healers, %heals suck, because it means your heals don’t get any better, ever, when you get new gear. So nothing you get will ever make you better at your primary job.
I think the major issue with PvP is that EQ2, from the beginning, wasn’t designed as a PvP game. It’s hard to make PvP work when it’s not the primary focus. There comes a point where you kind of just have to say “If PvP gameplay is what you’re looking for, this is not the game for you.”. Nothing can be good at everything, and sometimes it’s best to just admit that something isn’t your main focus.
And as a developer myself, if they’re pushing themselves that hard then something’s gone horribly wrong in the scheduling. When things are that bad, I know months beforehand that we’re not going to make the release date. And I don’t know a single time when we’ve been in that situation and pushing to make the deadline has ever turned out well. We’ve managed to release on time, but always it’s resulted in a lot of bugs we had to fix after release and negatively impacted the schedule for the next release by more than just rescheduling up front would’ve. I’m in the middle of that now in fact: 2 weeks of absolutely no progress on the current release’s work because I’ve spent 100% of my time troubleshooting 2 major and hard-to-diagnose core-dump issues in production.
When they announced the expansion, they had 11 designers. Now they have 5. Not only is that a reduction in workforce, it’s a brain drain effect. One of the designers lost had been populating the overlands, dungeons, and raids in EQ2 for 10 years. He setup and placed nearly every NPC. For Tears of Veeshan, someone else had to step in and do that in addition to their usual work, and they don’t have 10 years experience doing it, so they don’t know all those shortcuts and tricks to getting it done quickly.
“Shuffling Stats – Items don’t necessarily have the stats you are used to. You may get an item that has a stat you aren’t too excited about, but it
may reforge into Potency and Crit Bonusor other stats you need.”Did I miss this in reforging somewhere? I’ve not seen reforging into Potency or Crit Bonus
Removing that. Thanks!
You may not say it Feldon, but I will; I don’t give 2 squirts of piss about pvp in eq2. If that’s someone’s thing then there are much better ways to get your fix (PS2?).
Being shitty toward people who most likely WANTED to do whatever they could to deliver this expac only 1 month late demonstrates a complete lack of class. Coming from me after the piss comment says something!
Never forget just how much the people who work on this game LOVE it. It’s their baby and they sacrifice their lives in many ways for it, sometimes literally. Consider that and the fact that they read this stuff next time you want to rant.
If they called your kids ugly streaming piles you’d get a taste of turnabout if you took it to heart (assuming ugly streaming piles aren’t how you’d want them described.) 🙂
I’m AMAZED how much they’ve gotten done this year… truly in awe.
Multiattack/DPS changes –
Apart from the massive amounts of plat I’ve spent on MA gear, the Ranger Prestige AA tree “Bombadier” option rewards POT for every 30 MA you have. Has this been rejigged to take account of the now 500+ MA I need to shed and stick in DPS?
Not happy with that one at all.
Just with free reforges and swapping a few items out, plus cheap white adornments, I went from 200 DPS, 700 MA to 600 DPS 400 MA. Once I swap in some more gear, I should be able to get that DPS number higher. I hope they can fix the AA conversions.
I’ve had a look at my gear (thanks to u.eq2wire.com) and reckon with reforging I can transfer about 490 MA to DPS from gear. I’ll have to see how it goes.
Now to investigate these free reforges!
Well, Feldon I salute you as I wasn’t able to get anywhere near that kind of benefit from reforging, 4x Astral adorns and a new item. So much plat and pain just to get back to where I was. I made it to 512DPS and 428MA blowing nearly 500pp in the process!
Why oh why didn’t they just swap MA and DPS on items as well as focus effects, AAs etc?
Thank you Feldon for putting this together. Your time and effort have helped our guild as a primary source of EQ2 news for some time now. Just letting you know, your effort has been invaluable to us.
To the Devs. My opinion so far, really well done. There is content here we’re not going to blow through in a few weeks. This is no longer the game I remember from launch, but then again this is not the same game it was two years ago.
Under ways to get Etyma, you might want to include the tradeskill quests. You get 10 doing the weekly, and 1 doing the daily. Lots of folks have a lot of crafters and can get a big jump in Etyma by just doing the tradeskill quests. The main questline takes about an hour to complete.
I would have to agree with that. Though, I was quite surprised how few people had done the weekly quest by the time I logged on in the evening.
Definitely enjoying this expansion, its only early days but the initial impression is very good, its the nice touches like the speedup clouds and flying quests that do add that little extra.
So far I’ve had no problems apart from one of my buffs constantly resetting, not a big deal and maybe something UI related my end. I like the way the procs are now something big and occassional rather than something small and all the time (at least for the ones I’ve seen).
As for the game its welcome to see things get a refresh game wise, the only concerns I have are
1) I worry they may overshadow class abilities, it would be cool to see further procs enhance class abilities (and maybe reserve some debuffs for X class AA/CA’s only)
2) Power pools, its been sort of a broken feature with EQ2 where the power supplying abilities from some classes have been so high that for power drains to be meaningful they have to be massive. So power has always been a bit messed up in the game, it would be a massive change, but if they could balance it all better conserving power could be a real part of the gameplay again.
Otherwise enjoying the expansion and a big thanks for the extra information in EQ2Wire!
Also – it’s Etyma – you misplaced your “y” – which might be why your pop up link is not working 😉
Seriously? It’s Etyma? Is that pronounced ee-tee-ma?
I guess the y is silent in Draconic?
My guild came up with several different pronunciations, all apparently wrong.
From dictionary.com
et·y·mon
[et-uh-mon]
noun, plural et·y·mons, et·y·ma [et-uh-muh]
We were discussing in voice chat last night and were calling them et-ma. I have no idea how they are supposed to be pronounced. But then again I never pronounced Luclin correct either.
Was that the English pronunciation or the American pronunciation? 😉
Seriously though the EQ2 team has worked hard and long to get this expac out under difficult and emotional circumstances they deserve a pat on the back.
@feldon You too have worked on long and hard as a volunteer to bring us the use and I for one thank you for your efforts.
lol, I meant to type “news” not “use” at the end there some sort of disconnect between fingers and brain.
“How can I travel back to Vesspyr Isles more quickly? Is there a whisper column?”
Actually you do not have to buy a whisper column it is the reward from the quest “Making the Connection”
Didn’t we just have a gear reset 11 months ago?
Are the raid zones ST, AoA, Drinal now obsolete with these changes? If their gear didn’t change then why would we run these. Are they forcing us to buy the expansion to change gear?
If the first 2 ToV heroic zones both drop gloves/boots (and they do, i’ve done them), and the 3rd drops BPs/pants, where do Potent shoulders and Potent helms drop?
Really nice write up, how about sending Cold Metal a link 😛
Found one mistake, its 75 plat every 5 days for loyalty tokens if you are gold, not 50 (unless they ninja nerfed it)
Well if you are gold its two tokens a day (until March) so in fact it is 150 plat every 5 days or 75 every three.
My question is how do you use it? Never seen anything at a merchant to exchange for plat.
ToV Heroic Lab of Mutation only drops Potent Helms and Shoulders and 3 pouches.
Here is the crate link \aITEM 1626382616 1674074137 0 0 0:[Ornate Crate of Goods]\/a
Also, there are only 7 overland repeatable quests (not counting the daily/weekly solos). Unless there are 13 somewhere that we don’t know of.
“Before Tears of Veeshan, Multiattack, AOE Autoattack, and Flurry compounded in such a way that a single weapon swing could account for 100 or more attacks being triggered”
I think you meant 10, not 100…
Need a guide for jewelry slot drops.
Personally, I hate pvp. I think if you want to pvp go play first person shooter someplace. However, I find TOV great. I beta tested eq1, I have been playing eq series since that time. I moved to eq2 in like Nov of 2004. I think that adds up near 18years. Beside Plane of Power in eq1 ToV is the best expansion to come down.
The one thing that it lacks is more loot drops on raids. I am talking about bosses. For 24 people to share 2 or 3 loot drops when so much gear is required. Then there are those that think they have to have a dps set and tanking set or dps and a healing set and so forth. That is the one thing that drives me nuts. I guess the rest of the stuff I can live with. All that red gemstone stuff and mystical. I guess I will get there some day. Though maybe not as I turn 70 this Nov LOL.
