Please read our FAQ below for answers to the most common questions you might have once the new combined Skyfire server is online (scheduled for 7:00am PDT). This new server combines all the characters and guilds from Freeport, Nagafen, and Permafrost. The EQ2 dev team will be logged into the new Skyfire server, monitoring the situation, and answering questions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Help I’ve lost my hotbars!
A: Type /load_uisettings and choose your character from your previous server.
Q: My EQ2 Launchpad still shows characters from Freeport, Nagafen, and Permafrost. How do I fix this?
A: You will need to go to Character Select screen and then close EQ2 for your Launchpad to be updated. Alternately you can delete your logincache-en directory from your EQ2 folder.
Q: Why doesn’t Call to Guild Hall work?
A: Before anyone can Call to Guild Hall, at least one member of the guild will have to visit the Guild Hall Attuner item in their guild hall to trigger an update to everyone’s Call to Guild Hall ability. It may necessary for every person to travel to the guild hall first and re-attune your CtGH.
Q: Will there be a 2-18 hour login queue this time?
A: It is hoped that, after some database balancing after the last two server mergers that a login queue for Free-to-Play folks will not be required for the Skyfire merger. If a queue is enacted, it will be temporary. Subscribers don’t experience this queue/
Q: My Guild was renamed to something else or with X’s and Z’s appended to it. How do I change it?
A: If your guild is eligible for a name change, have your guild leader type /guild rename <name> omitting the < and > marks.
A: If another guild with the same name was created prior to your guild, even if it has been inactive for years and years, there is nothing you can do. Read More: Server Merge Update: Guild Names Lost to Long-Inactive Groups
Q: My Character was renamed to something else or with X’s and Z’s appended to it. How do I change it?
A: Type /rename <name> omitting the < and > marks.
Q: What is the server name in-game for the purpose of sending tells/mail?
A: In-game, the server is Skyfire, so /tell Skyfire.charname is how you send a message.

NOTE that Nagafen users will not be able to claim their “of Nagafen” titles until a game update can fix it…
The Nagafen title isn't appearing today on Skyfire, but will on Tuesday. Apparently Nagafen demands a capital "N"…even in code…#EQ2

With this being the last merge, I’m curious what the status of free server transfers is. Was that officially a plan, or just speculation? Do we know if or when it’s happening?

Thanks for posting this article. I actually didn’t have issues with UI (it prompted me to pick a UI automatically) but deleting the login cache was really helpful – sure I’d seen it a while back on the forums but it was nice to have a reminder.
Now it’s time to merge the European servers
