About 20 minutes ago, Daybreak Games login servers started freaking out. Daybreak’s on it and they’ve already posted an update on Twitter for those who can’t reach the forums:
Some players are currently unable to access Daybreak websites and games. We are investigating and will resolve as quickly as possible.

We are looking into lag/server issues on all games at the moment.

Ddos hitting our games. We are working on it.

This is getting a bit ridiculous. Maybe they should reevaluate the half staff idea.
Think the Lizards should fire half their squad? Good idea!
DDoS? What would even make DGC a prime target, anymore?
Because a pound of flesh hasn’t been taken from Smedley yet? A lot of people were left wondering why he didn’t get his walking papers when the axe fell. Maybe this is just an attempt from someone to indirectly kick him in the nuts.
Oh for fucks sake, again?
The company is on the ropes what’s the damn point? Go after bloody EA they are legit evil, not merely incompetent
That’s a good point, considering the sheer junk that EA puts out, it is amazing that they aren’t the target of stuff like this.
I despise these people. I wish they would find something constructive to do with their lives. All they do is hurt people.
I’ve never seen anyone more desperate to prove they can’t do real hacking jobs, but are all around losers, than the poor little DDOSers.
I think someone that plays a Daybreak game is the DDOSer. Probably got buthurt about somethign and had to throw a tantrum.
DDOS is one thing, however the ongoing lag in raid zones (consistently) and instances (randomly) is so infuriating, lag showed up … I truely wish they would keep communicating with us about, that might somehow restore just a tad of faith in them actually doing something
See that avatar symbol next to Smed’s tweet? That is why all the EQ2 servers are now running like dog-poo.
>.> Also why I hope Everquest franchise gets sold separately if Nova plans on parting SOE/DBG out once it’s paid itself off. (And hopefully to a game company that is actually excited about making Everquest type games, and keeps the Devs. ^_~ ) Business is business, but you gotta have passion for the product to really make it fly.
