I like the PVP changes in this update. I don’t play PVP, and I don’t know what most of those changes mean, but it does show that the Devs are listening to the players. Most of those changes were suggested by a player on the forums a couple weeks ago.
Although I very much appreciate the 10 extra AAs we can spend, does anyone else find this a somewhat odd addition seemingly out of nowhere? I know their business model has changed, but typically more AAs have always come with the addition of an expansion.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll put these to use, I guess I just have to get used to this new “Weekly Feature” model. And if they’re adding AAs seemingly “out of the blue,” it’s worked, because now I’m very curious to see what else they have in store, not only for the weeks ahead, but for their next expansion (which, I’m hoping, is a big one, it being EQ2’s 10th year anniversary (or thereabouts if they time it right and are done in time)).
I don’t think this is random I think its a very planned even number so when they up the level cap they can give us another 50 AA’s and we would be at an even 400.
I doubt the 10th anniversary epansion will mean anything special other then more of the same pattern since after ROK.
Another large over land zone with 70 or so quests, including a signature, new gear to grind, some new mechanic that will require you to change your gear specs, 2 new raids, avatar loot that sucks, 8 or so new heroic dungens.
HM raid that is broken and planned to stifle progress to prolong the expansion end game for 4-6 months.
Up in the air is if they continue to separate raider and heroic loot procs meant for raiding but worthless for heroic content, and continue with the currect procs that are worthless and crap-tastic…..
Unfortunatly, other then raiding, this game is boring and predictable
You forgot level cap raise.
I seriously hope we get a level cap raise. It’s been over 4 years since we had an entire tier raised.
Level 100.
Quite ignorant comment tbh imo…and not only in this game, in most theme-park mmos things are rather predictable other than raiding or pvp.
Been playing since late 2005 myself, and never did a single raid. And still having fun =) that’s telling something..
Something that ISN’T mentioned about recklessness in the notes: It temporarily suspends itself on Melee combat for 15 seconds. Pretty much completely useless now. For a direct quote of its text:
The AA out of the blue is a curious one, while EQ1 shows that they can go to ludicrous levels with the AA I think for game design it would be good to see some sort of consoldiation/cleanup of the AA trees to reduce the number down radically (some of the AA choices now are of very little worth).
If such a change was coming with a new expansion then adding some more now would be harmless I guess, otherwise I do wonder what will be in the expansion.
so did they mean the last 10 aa’s to be impossible. I been grinding for hours in ss and only gotten 1 aa.
That change to Recklessness is specifically called-out in the patch notes. All they did was make Recklessness equally useless to all the fighters, instead of just half of them. But at least that frees up a hotkey slot, right?
