From the EQ2 Forums:

GENERAL

  • You can now put a true/false parameter on the /hide_illusions command to force hide or force show instead of toggeling the hide illusions option. If you don’t use a parameter it will just toggle as before.
  • The /hide command will once again default to /hide_illusions instead of /hide_guild_achievements.

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
Wurmbone’s End: Nox Incessit

  • Prime Temple-Blocker Grudk now gives more time to kill his spider adds. Adds have less health.
  • Wasp and bug encounters have been lowered in number to help reduce lag issues.

ITEMS

  • The experience required to increase the level of a Spiritstone has been lowered in many cases.
  • Potency has been added back to Trinket of the Grim Virtuoso, Nexus of Acid, and Gravedigger’s Mark.
  • Prime Fortified Soul Trap will once again cap out at 60 Stamina at level 50.
  • Rune: Greater Cyclical Battering II now has 11 multi-attack.

Can anyone confirm that the hp is actually lowered enough to where a normal, heroic geared raid could do it? Our raid was between 2-2.5 million and we could barely get 1 spider to halfway.

Also the zone trash took for-ev-er

Kandor posted earlier we’d be getting i think 90 seconds to kill an add. That’s more than double the time at release. That alone means a raid doing 3 to 3.5 million dps should easily get it done. If the hp are say 2/3 of what they were and you have twice the time to kill them, i don’t see why a 2 mill dps group couldn’t kill him. We’ll have to wait and see.

2 million dps minimum should be about the number a x2 raid should need in my opinion for this encounter based on the 179 stat rewards. A raid with a mix of SS raid gear and current 163 stat legendary gear should be able to run the zone. The x2 should not be only a toy for raid geared people to twink their alts with.

The problem we had was killing one spider but not the second one, and he ate the second add, healing him to full once he does this a couple of times he gets a buff and wipes the raid. So hopefully they fixed that.

We calculated it would take 4.2 mill dps to kill the add’s before he ate them.

I would love to run this zone after they fix it. On another not put some drops on the trash in this zone as there is tons of trash with no rewards for killing them.

A X2 should always be hard for characters that actually need the gear from the zone so a raidgeared raidforce should always be able to run through the X2 much more easily and gear out their alts.
I don’t really know that fight myself so I’m not saying it didn’t need a nerf, just saying that the X2 shouldn’t be a lootpiniata for people that actually need the gear from it.

The problem with WEx2 right now… if you’ve got toons that can do WEx2 AND can get upgrades from it, those same 12 people can 2 group AoA for better gear and easier bosses.

Well it used to be the x2 was used to gear up under geared folks so they could quickly become geared up to help their guild run x4 content. However I say that and remember being some of the first guilds to unlock tower, and watched as the fights were slowly made easier.

@Stark what was wrong (no idea if it’s actually been fixed adequately with this update) is that it was taking somewhere north of 4 million dps (either equal or less than 7 million) to down the last boss. The people it was ostensibly designed for (even after dev backpedaling) can’t pull that off.
