  1. gotta love how they give you something then several expansions later THEY change other things and then take what they originally gave you away. not the way to fix things… leave dirge myth buffs alone and give the troub’s a bone. the dirge myth buff isn’t the problem, leave it alone and fix the actual problems.

  2. Judging by your name, you’re very aware of how powerful the dirge myth is and trying hard to avoid a nerf. And it is a problem. Checked your dps breakdowns lately? It will get changed, for the exact same reason the Najena ring was nerfed when SF launched, because if it stays unchanged, it will continue to grow unchecked.

  3. my parses are right in line with other utility classes, I don’t see how that is unbalanced. I don’t pay any attention to my myth buff, it’s on, I do my job and my parses take a tank when I have rezz a lot, when I get to have fun and parse I am as I said before, in line with other utility classes.

  4. Please read again what I wrote – I didn’t say dirge dps is out of line, but what’s making up that dps definitely is. It’s not uncommon seeing dirge parses with 60% or more from autoattack. And as stats inflate, this will get worse. To come back to Najenas ring – that one was perfectly in line in TSO as well. But it would have gotten disproportionately more powerful as stats went up, so it was changed.
The same thing will happen to the dirge myth, the way it is now.

  5. Right, I read what you said, and to the extent that you say dirges should have more of their dps come from spells/ca’s I am on board with. It’s when you start off saying I’m just wanting to avoid a nerf that I am bothered. I’m an extremely active dirge, I’m not a buffbot or waste of space going afk with my auto-attack on. I have played this class for years and fully enjoy the skill it takes to really play it well. I have no problem with moving a portion of our dps from our auto-attacks to our spells/ca’s, however, I would fully hate to see sony take it half way and choose to simply change the myth buff and call it done. I also think that it is best to see how effective the upcoming changes will be to everyone’s dps. Specifically, “Having weapon skill over the cap now increases your minimum damage amount making it closer to the maximum amount.” That will be a boost to all dps classes, moreso to non-dirges. I am not adverse to seeing tweaks to classes where needed, but we also know that by the time the myth buff would get to the point that dirges were out of balance (dps-wise) there could be an entirely different combat system in place. We’ve had 2 major overhauls in just the last 2 expansions.
