  1. They really need to find a PR guy that’s not so nervous. It’s like he can’t wait for them to answer the question so he can move on to the next and get the hell out of there.

Fantastic. Awesome. Fantastic. Awesome. Fantastic. Fantastic….

    lol poor guy

  2. Things that annoy me about the PR guy.

“If your into Epic Online Gaming Action then you’ve come to the right place”

“Fantastic” -response after Spence says thanks for being introduced.

“We got a great response to our first web-cast.” -Seemed mostly negative

“Why did we decided to put this(flying mounts) in this expansion” -WOW, bad question as the developer can’t answer it with the truth. Would have been better to just ask about how it was done. How it changes the game.

“How does any of this affect extended?” -For some reason a DOV web-cast mentioning extended gets on my nerves.

“Awesome.”-response to a portals between regular multi-ownership houses not being in the game. My response to this as a player is “Awwww I wish it was a feature now.”

All of the above is just from the first half.

Overall though, I don’t want to be completely negative, I think this weeks was much better than last weeks. Last week the developers seems worn out and disinterested. This week they seemed like they were having fun and genuinely interested. The change in seats really helped as Dave lounging last week we kind of a distraction. I’m a little annoyed that itemization as a topic got scrapped but I do feel like we did get some new information so all was not lost.

  3. I liked the podcast too, definitely better then the last one, I put that down to a bit of healthy competition for a mic from Rothgar and Smokejumper, a group conversation flows well when everyone wants to say something.

On the PR guy I thought he calmed down a bit later on, or perhaps he just wasn’t saying as much as Dave and Greg were speaking more. One thing I think he should refrain from was introducing Dave as the “infamous” producer, since if he’s responsible for PR I don’t think this is a good direction.

The insight into how new ideas get into the game was illuminating to hear and its clear that they have a lot they want to do, its given me more of a good feel for the forums although as they say some ideas if good don’t fit with what they are already planning.

A few of the questions were a bit dumb as can be expected, but it was wider ranging then I expected, I’ll have to fire one in about EU (outside US) marketting, perhaps even directing it to the marketting guy, now that would be a change 😉
