No details at this point, but players have been reporting an issue connecting to EQ2 servers for the last 15-20 minutes or so. Brad Wilcox, VP Customer Service for Daybreak did tweet this:
We are currently looking into login issues, watch the normal channels for updates.

It became clear it was a DDOS after I posted this.

Launcher is still not working for me. But I just used the bypass of launching from the EverQuest2.exe application in my EQ2 folder. Bypassed the launcher and put me right into game.
