US EverQuest II Live Servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at approximately 7:00AM PST (15:00-16:00 GMT). Estimated downtime is 1 hour.

EU EverQuest II Live Servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at approximately 9:00PM PST (19th Nov 5:00~7:00 GMT). Estimated downtime is 2 hours.

From the EQ2 Forums:

GENERAL

  • Elite mercenaries Kenny, Matri Dut, and Perrin should now despawn after 5 minutes of being first hired.
  • Fixed an issue where Kylong Plains was at the wrong location on some Fast Travel Maps.
  • Removed the Burned Woods entrance from the travel map.
  • Resolved an issue where specifying the name of a mercenary in a macro resulted in a “not found” error.
  • Fixed a bug where you would not be able to see your bags in your inventory or house vault when inside a guildhall or house and you have a lot of stuff.

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
General

  • Boss encounters in Altar of Malice contested heroic dungeons now have a chance to drop Cyan adornments.
  • Harvest nodes should no longer spawn in inaccessible locations in Tranquil Sea and Phantom Sea.

Altar of Malice Raids

  • Major hitting damage over time spells cast by bosses will not hit players for a short duration after they have been killed. The immunity is applied at death not at resurrection!

Zavith’Loa: The Molten Pools [Raid]

  • The trophy from killing the Crumbling Icon should now create the correct trophy when added to a pedestal.
  • Perador the Mighty should now award an achievement when killed.

Zavith’loa: The Lost Caverns [Advanced Solo]

  • Grat’ta the Mountain will no longer revert to an unattackable state if his combat is reset.

Zavith’loa: The Hidden Caldera [Advanced Solo]

  • Pterotrainer Yu’lua was incorrectly dealing too much melee damage. He should now deal damage comparable to other Advanced Solo bosses.

Zavith’loa: The Lost Caverns [Heroic]

  • Beastmaster Kau’mua now has some additional messaging to help explain his mechanics.
  • Mo’iana the Ravenous‘ parasites should no longer occasionally spawn beneath the ground.

Brokenskull Bay: Fury of the Cursed [Raid]

  • Swindler and brute adds should now flee when Morin and Barin are defeated.

Brokenskull Bay: Spoils of Maraud [Contested]

  • Experience has been increased.
  • Reduced damage on bosses spells.
  • Reduced the frequency of curses on Epic X2 named encounters.
  • Added repeatable dropped quests to trash encounters found within the zone.

Brokenskull Bay: Hoist the Yellow Jack

  • The plunderable cannon has been moved onto the dock.

Ossuary of Malevolence [Contested]

  • Experience has been increased.

High Keep: The Bloodless Incursion [Contested]

  • Experience post 95 has been increased.

Ossuary: Resonance of Malice

  • Killing Achiun and Peris now grants their buff to the whole group instead of 1 player.

Castle Highhold: Thresinet’s Den

  • Qworux’s Burden now triggers reactives.

Temple of Ssraeshza: Echoes in Time [Raid]

  • The Grimlings boss encounter curses should no longer trigger a failure to react if it is immediately cured.

Phantom Sea

  • All Dshinn basilisk are now aggro.
  • Fixed an issue where the Bloody Battle of Kithicor event NPCs would say out of range.
  • The collectible shiny within the druid ring in Phantom Sea has been moved to a more accessible location.
  • The Barter and Exchange merchant Shioni has greatly expanded her available wares.

ABILITIES / ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT
Defiler

  • Ancestral Avenger VI now properly applies its effects.

ITEMS

  • Pact of Constitution now properly adds the stats to the wearer.
  • Ossuary of Malevolence [Contested] now drops its unique accessories.
  • The Western Compass’s protection has been reduced to the proper values.
  • Tranquil Ryathian Cuirasse – Appearance should now show correctly.
  • Tranquil Terrus Cuirasse – Appearance should now show correctly.

TRADESKILLS

  • If you are awaiting mail from Raffik, you can go to the Village of Shinand talk with Jerol of the Norrathian Express to see about its delivery status.
  • Vanilla Bean can no longer be used to create an Artisan’s Amalgamation.
  • Corrected a bug that allowed a mysterious crystal to show up via track harvest.
  • A mysterious crystal will now only spawn in the first instance of the Phantom of Tranquil Seas.

QUESTS

  • Grim Reaping – Vial’s effect, Grim Dealings, no longer shows up in tracking.
  • Diving for Defenses – Wood planks respawn faster.
  • Returning to the surviving pygmy deinocaretaker with the pterodon livers will immediately update the quest, Stegodon Savior, instead of several seconds later, to avoid the quest failing even after reaching him within the allotted time.
  • The final encounter within Ssraeshza Temple: Shadow of Luclin, for the signature quest, “Shattered Seas:Temple of Doom,” should now be more manageable by all classes.
  • All savage pterodons will update the mission, Stegodon Savior, now.
  • Heroic Dungeon missions in the Altar of Malice will now grant a selected armor reward crate.

        I actually did everything i could do to get my resist up to 90k after that it was easy on coercer, it involved kiting them around the room. Once I did that and finally got the bar, I was like wow nice. I just finally had to give up some good proc’s and replace them with quest junk. ONce I did that it worked fine. So I think now I can do it on all my toons, I don’t think my tank or my sin will have the issues the coercer had.

    Well I take that back, lol there is one little quip, I guess we find out tomorrow if I can run it on my coercer. To bad there is not an edit button.

        I got it figured out, the main thing was dropping great proc items to pick up resist to 90k, once I did that it worked great, now that I got a clue how to run it, should not be an issue.

    So what does this mean? That Tranquil / Phantom Sea 2,3,4 are SOL?

      That’s what it sounds like… that’s even stupider then making a harvest node that only high level crafters can see… that isn’t trackable by track harvetables… which only high level crafters can get…

        The Phantom of Tranquil Seas sounds like an entirely different zone, or this should be “Phantom Seas and Tranquil Seas”. Not saying they’re not beyond a typo, but the Phantom of Tranquil Seas makes enough sense that it sounds like a separate zone.

    Wait, does this mean for 5 minutes after first hire, eveyone else can click and can get the merc ? Talk about devaluing our previous efforts in getting a ‘rare’ merc.

    Corrected a bug that allowed a mysterious crystal to show up via track harvest.

    That was a bug?!?!?! And I had only found one anyway.

    So want to get all those Tier’Dal illusion quests done for my quest count!

    Quest adorn are now lvl 96 instead of 95

    Tradeskill XP is low but it should be rewarding to go level 100, so I think it is fine as it is, some people should be able to make a business of it. I’m doing my 6th crafters so it is not impossible and not so time consuming.

    Spakka, it’s called inflation due to progress. Efforts rarely retain their value unless there’s a cashed up market of collectors looking for your stuff. In a digital world is very risky to expect a good investment based on scarcity anyway. You had a good run. 🙂

      Why do people get butthurt when things become more available? o.0 I’ve had Kenny for a long time and it hasn’t made me a better person. I prefer actually DOING things to be proud of vs flaunting something others don’t have. That just seems petty. :\ (Particularly when it’s something silly like an item in a digital game.)
      XD I’m actually happy people can get them more easily. But I like seeing people happy in general.. well… people that aren’t just happy because of someone else’s disadvantage.

        The game has been out for a few days and people complains because it takes too long (4 hours!) to level up there crafters. In a few weeks they will complains because they have run through everything and wants more content… Of course in game you should be able to obtain everything, but it does not mean that you should have it now. That applies to XP your adventure or crafting level, doing a questline that give a nice reward, as long as you could achieve in a reasonable time. We are going to play this extensions for months so a few hours should not kill anyone.

    Yeah….. Jerol does nothing for me. Hailed him, no response, no mail, even after zoning. I’m just waiting on the final mail from Raffik. Maybe I need the Jerol from the Village of Shinand? 😛
