A growing number of players have reported “Socket error-unreachable (11004)” errors when running the EverQuest II or other SOE game launchpads, and there seems to be a common cause for many of them. As discussed in this thread, antivirus software from McAfee, Avira, and the notoriously inept Norton/Symantec (who recently admitted that their software is ineffective), as well as certain Firewall software have all caused this issue.
