and from the EQ2 Forums:
We are running a Double Guild XP Weekend starting tomorrow at noon PST until Sunday, March 3 at 11:59pm PST.
Or should I say, Double XP weekend for Guilds…
“Double xp for Guilds…” ?
Does that mean that we’ll earn double Status? (yeah, I doubt it)
I think it just doubles the xp gained from status points.
Example 10,000 personal Status gained = 2,000 guild xp gained.(instead of 1,000)
Ragefighter got it right.
Unfortunately I’m off on a road trip today and will be out of town this weekend. Still, I’ll try to get some guild leveling in.
Me and as many characters as I can get on autofollow, chronomentored to 80 and doing the Jarsath Wastes writs. 9 writs x 4 characters every 30 minutes is pretty good. 😉
do the SF ones and you get more XP :p
What’s the travel time like?
The JW ones, we go to Kylong Plains docks, pick up all 9 writs,
equip our Hammers, get portedtake bell to JW, set on autofollow, and all 9 mob types are pretty much in a straight line through the zone. Zone into KP and Evac. Rinse repeat in about 30 min.Where or who do you talk to in SF
I know that when SF was current content the writs there were very good.
All of the writs, or the majority of them anyway were around the twin tears.
Load up with writs go to SS docks take carpet to twin tears, or to the station that is at the entrance to PoF where the mender is. It is pretty fast, hell now you can even plant a flag and save about 1 min per trip. It is definately worth looking at Feldon, but if you have a steady pattern that works for you the different between the 2 might be very little.
Wouldnt taking the bell from the Kylong docks to the Jarsath docks be slightly faster (well, more consistent) then hammering?
yeah you can take bell from kp to jw and then back again all the writ givers stand at the docks in KP and all the stuff they ask for is in JW.. 2 zones super quick
As for the Sundered Frontier ones the writ givers are in paineel.. you can grab writs and use either spires on spire island or druid rings a little further out to Stonebrunt where the things needed to kill are.. rinse and repeat.. difference is you do not need to mentor to do the SF ones..
Also if a crafter do not forget the new TS writs for 90+ its slower since ya cant box 4 crafters but its a nice way as well
SF != SS sorry confused those writs, I remember leveling our guild from 50-60 on those…
Ignore my earlier post Feldon 🙂
Speak for your self 😛
The SS and COE zones dont seem to be giving guild XP.
I ranKael and they did give guild xp .. wtf ????
We tested these out a while back and feldon is right, the JW writs are by far the best ones for grinding. The mobs are spread out so that good or evil aligned, its a matter of porting to the dock and working your way around the zone in almost a straight line to clear them all in about 15-25 minutes. While some of the other writ sets offer more status per writ, none can be completed and reset as fast.
We were trying to level up a guild a while back and I was getting 2 runs completed for every one run the guys were doing on other sets.
When I was leveling up my alt guild a couple years back, I found the evil side SF ones (for Stonebrunt Highlands, for mobs right around Quel’ule) to be, by far, the fastest. With my alt warlock, I could complete a round of writs in under 5 minutes.
Kylong Plains-lvl70-evil is my personal favorite writ spot.
Sky Shrine Kill Holgresh Foragers, Kill Corrupted Fawn, Kill Withered Treants went pretty quickly this week with the TS agent in the guild hall and the Call to Skyshrine Flag as well.. had to wait on my call a few times as I completed them in less than 7 mins and rinsed repeated for 4000 each time..
