Today’s update adds Haste to quested Scout and Fighter gear in Skyshrine and the Withered Lands, as well as hopefully fixing the Class Focus effects on items. Prior to the patch, if you equip more than 1 item with a “Class Focus”, only the last item equipped has its effect applied.

From the EQ2 Forums:

GENERAL

  • You can now properly join group members in Skyshrine instances.

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION

Greater Faydark

  • Reanimated Nexus Scion and scorched skeletal wizards respawn reliably now.

Skyshrine: The Underdepths

  • The drop rate of Yelnar’s Binding Stone has been increased.

Dracur Prime

  • If you chose not to aid Apprentice Overknight Deshniak previously, he will no longer hold a grudge and allow you to test your rescue attempt again.

Dracur Prime [Advanced Solo]

  • Ariorb and Xersis no longer normalize each other’s health. They should heal a lot less during combat.

ABILITIES / ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT

Brigand

  • Befuddle spell scrolls now properly give the spell upgrades to brigands when consumed.

Beastlord

  • Beastsoul II should no longer be appearing in the beastlord knowledge book.

Troubador

  • Jester’s Ruse should now properly apply to the target rather than the caster.

Defiler

  • Crystallize Soul should now properly grant the consumable above level 90.

TRADESKILLS

  • Upgrades to Prophetic Ward VI are now craftable – the recipes have been added to existing level 91 Sage recipe books.

ITEMS

  • Lowered the effect radius on the “Blood and Ashes” proc. It should no longer pull entire zones.
  • Haste has been added to the “Skyshrine” game update fighter, scout, and priest gloves.
  • Fennin’s Destruction should trigger more reliably.
  • Focus Effects should once again stack correctly.
  • In order to fix an issue with Skyshrine reward crates they have now been made auto-consume.

QUESTS

Withered Lands

  • Phaerus Thunderhorn should no longer keep offering you quest components if you do not need them.
  • It’s Good to be Queen: You should now be able to hail Adephala from much farther away for quest updates.
  • Players on the Totemic Reinforcement quest should now be able to place their totems more reliably.

Its great they are fixing some of these little things however its been nearly 6 months since a pretty major AA flaw was reported and they have still yet to fix it. Vision of Madness for Berzerkers AA bonuses have been broken a while now. Only 1 trigger with 43% heal is ridiculous considering you have to waste aa to get it up higher and they still wont fix it to work properly. AA should have it do a 93% heal and 3 possible triggers.

Oh well, that “All You Need Is Time” quest out there in Withered Lands was still bugged last night on AB. Guess it will be tonight too haha

You are talking about improving a class, not fixing a bug. And while I agree that zerkers need some love, I don’t think that the ability in itself is broken.

I am glad they fixed the advanced solo though. that end mob was just dumb the way it was regulating health.

It is broken the AA tree has that ability in there and it states that it will do that both in game and in the tree but it doesn’t actually modify the spell properly like it says it does. Which means it is a bug.

Do they put extra gates in when content is released?

ts questline: placing the totems was an unfortunate gate. updates are per zone, not per players quest. so you competed with other crafters for update.

skyshrine questline: killing the golem was an unfortunate gate. updates were per spawn, in a contested dungeon. multiple groups would wait and the respawn was 15 minutes.

why did these go live if they fixed them within the first week? was it really just a mistake?

Im beginning to suspect they put extra gates in to increase novelty until enough ppl complain. make the early adopters have a larger sense of accomplishment since they waded thru tedious gates.

I wonder if the designer who placed that mob thought it was an instance instead of a contested zone?

Honestly the first time I zoned in, I was shocked to see other players outside of group.
