News will be a bit light over the next few days, so we wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Whether you’re spending time with friends, family, or your in-game family, we hope you have a good holiday.
EQ2Wire has a huge year planned, including tackling the Dungeon Maker, delving further into Beastlords and Mercenaries, covering the new Velious content in February and May 2012, building a new site on the Data Feeds, and more.
Remember Double StationCash is still running through tomorrow and Double XP is December 30th to January 2nd. Frostfell runs through January 3rd.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Feldon and all other EQ2 Gamers, from here in sunny (but cold) Afghanistan. No access to Games, of course, but an occassional sneak peek at the Wire helps keep me sane.

Id like to say Happy Holidays to open my comment, but now I have a major Gripe. Over the past four days now the Freeport Server has crashed completely on me. Seems it wants to take a vacation as well lol!! But seriously this is a major flaw and highly freakin annoying to those of us enjoying our EQ. Could it be? They actually Freakin broke the Freeport server with the merge? By flooding it with so many toons it cant handle it? This needs to be addressed ASAP cause im getting fed up.
There’s a lot of chatter about the Freeport server crashes on the official forums. Hope it’s fixed soon!
Just don’t say Freep! I guess it no longer means a person from Freeport or maybe being from Freeport is bad… 😛
@landin if they spent as much engery as they do moderating their facebook page and the forums, and moved that energy that into actually fixing broken bits of the game we might have a better game.
