  1. I’m glad Smokejumper can inform us about mundane things like new items in the Marketplace, but doesn’t inform us about critical things regarding Age of Discovery – like you know…how much will it cost? When will it launch? More details about the content – will it all truly be optional?

  2. It is not the same statue. It is hierloom. Can be bought in bulk. Only works in houses currently. And at this point I doubt legal has let smokejumper say anything right now on AoD. And no, I don’t trust smokeblower.

  3. SmokeyStover has a habit of saying things and later having to walk them back when they turn out not to be so, known where I live as ‘talking out your @$$’.

    Yay professionalism! 🙄

  4. I hear ya, Necro. I’ve had every pretty much every thread that I’ve ever posted that showed proof of Smokejumper’s incompetence deleted very quickly after it was created.

SOE doesn’t want people spreading information that the people running their company don’t know crap I guess. LOL 🙂

  5. Waaaaait a sec, the revival thing can be cast while dead? I didn’t remember reading that before. That makes it a fair bit more useful. Too bad nobody gets vet rewards on Extended. (By which I really mean: Good thing nobody gets vet rewards on Extended, so we clerics can keep the self-revives to ourselves. :P)

  6. Wow tough crowd there today. Think people should realise that running and growing an MMO with a subscriber base of 7 years is an inconceivable challenge. EQ and EQ2 have seen countless MMOs come and go but they are still here and apparently making money, so they have to be doing something right.

At least SJ is enthusiastic and excited about the game, just like we are. So cut the man some slack as he is doing his best within the boundaries set for him.

So this excuses the rolling disaster that is Velious, the Itemization Script of Doom, poor player base communication, and saying things without checking to see if there was any basis in reality? (And that’s the short list, I’m sure more can be added!)

Don’t give me the ‘it’s so haaaaaaaard!’ argument. He’s paid to do a job and do it well. If he’s failing, he should be penalized accordingly. If he’s just not up to the task, it’s time for him to move on, period.

  8. The bottom line is someone needs to step up to responsibility. As the guy in charge, he is ultimately responsible for the quality of his product, regardless of who was assigned to do the actual work.

One mistake, I can understand. Two, even. But this year has been nothing but a series of errors upon errors upon errors with barely any communication to the people who are supporting their salaries.

Wait. It actually sounds like our US Government. Is that who they’re taking their cues from?

  9. Word is some Freeport citizens tried that, Necro.

In other news, this year’s Nights of the Dead decorations there seemed…fresh.

    Just sayin’.

(I also seem to remember a similar incident in SWG ending…amusingly badly.)

I will not flame you nor defend you, I will simply state again, This is His Job, His “teams project” legal department and PR departments do not have anything to do with in game errors ‘Like the statue’. But yes there is limitations; Obviously MR Jumper hasnt learn not to speak out of his other end and keep digging himself into the bigger hole with us, the real players of this game, the ones that although mad about changes, bugs and everything else still continue to pay since we like the characters , ppl and friendships we’ve made. I call for a Day of no Login in support of (No Cash For Crap) whos with me!
