  1. While it’s an amusing idea, the fact that they are now charging for a service [name change] that they offered for free is kind of ridiculous. Station Cash = Bad.

What if you were a server transfer, and when you move, an x is appended to your name? Or even worse your name gets mangled by evil the random name generator? One of our recent apps a server transfer name was randomly changed to the brand of a toilet bowl cleaner!

The more features they add like this makes me wonder why I am paying $14.99 a month… More Station Cash features like this should = less monthly payment.

I see the sex/name potions being very popular.

  2. Personally, I totally HATE these potions and I forsee a lot of sh*t coming from them. I remember that back on EQ1 when the rename tokens were being sold, a separate list was kept on the Sony website where one could look up old and new names. This at least makes it possible for people to keep up with the “bad” folks who think they can get away with trolling or what not by simply renaming their toon and starting all over. Will some similar list be kept for EQII?? I for sure would hope so but for some reason I doubt it.

And I mean, come on, we can already change the appareance of our toons by buying a new hair cut.. Why on earth would someone wanne change the gender or their character?? Except maybe if you wanted to roleplay a transgender.. but I don’t think you will find many of those in the EQII roleplaying communicy..

And indeed, we already pay our monthly fees.. Station Cash and LoN are just ways to try rip off some more money. ‘Course no one is forced to buy and spend any station cash, but to me it only unbalances the game.

  3. Considering the fact that I originally made a male character, while being a female myself, I will be very happy to finally change Xndren to a female. Though I still love my Necropolis and Lythacore as boys.

But for sure, it is very expensive, especially on top of the $15 a month fee already.
