If you took advantage of last year’s too-good-to-pass-up $72 for 1 year of All Access subscription, be aware that these will be renewing soon at the full price of $119.88. It is not expected that the $50 off deal will be offered for 2017. To manage your All Access subscription, visit the Daybreak Games website page for All Access Membership Info.

Tip of the hat to Uxtalzon.

Thanks for the heads-up, time to aim this yearly expenditure somewhere else.

They’ll offer it in September or so, once they notice renewals falling off a cliff…

That’s sort of what I was thinking too. No doubt they hope folks automatically re-up their accounts in August at full price, offer a discount in September for those who didn’t.

Hard to go into huge detail without breaking commentary rules and making it TL;DR. I’ll keep it simple:

Don’t let Daybreak trick you out of your money. Cancel now before you get charged full price.

Not sure what rule you are concerned about breaking. Can send me your comment at morgan@eq2wire.com and I’ll take a look at it if you want.

I will fully consider leaving EQ2 this year after playing this wonderful game since day 1. Saddens me to see what DBG has done. The yearly sale was one of the few things they did right.

The sale was a boon as i just dont really play enough now to justify full price, time to leave the game for good i think

      >i just dont really play enough now to justify full price

Thats back to front. Why get a subscription for a year when you wont be playing for a lot of the time it covers. Just pay the months you *do* play.

I hadnt played for a couple of years, the deal last year was worth a punt,it failed to engage me enough to pay again at full price,no mystery the game now, sadly just isnt good enough to warrant a monthly sub.

I wouldn’t ever pay a monthly fee for what this game is offering right now. Especially when there’s numerous other games that offer far better updates and service without a monthly fee.

I have to admit, what you get for it are things that are taken away from F2P players rather than extra rewards for being a subscriber. For the most part anyway.

I would like to know which ones, I have tried multiple mmo’s and none of them hold my interest at all.

I wasn’t actually talking about MMOs, I haven’t really played MMOs in a long time honestly. The genre just doesn’t hold my interest anymore. (EQ2 is the only one I would play and right now Daybreak has irritated me into not playing it – again)

I know maybe it’s not fair to compare EQ2 to a game like Overwatch, but it’s such a shocking value difference. I paid $40 total for Overwatch, and I get huge updates every month and a dev team that interacts with the community and obviously cares about the game. EQ2 tries to charge $40 a year, plus a $15 a month fee for a game that is lucky to get two big updates a year – and developers that don’t interact with the community and seem like they couldn’t care less about the game.

I won’t be leaving, my accounts are on a completely different month.
I still enjoy this game. I pay for the yearly subscription.

I’m not leaving either and will remain a paid subscriber. IMO…There’s still more to like than dislike and I still enjoy the game most of the time. Devs pretty much killed my alts so no reason to have a second account full of alts.

I’m in the same boat. I have extra accounts too and it’s becoming less and less worth it to use them. I wont be getting the new xpac on them by default as I have in the past.

I’m still here, because I have good friends here. But the next xpac better be awesome after the round robin Charlie Foxtrots they served up 2 of the last 3 years.

I already canceled mine. After they killed any reason to have an alts. I not played in months despite still having game time available to play.

Looks like I already canceled mine, have until April for the stacked time to run out. I think the last time I logged in was during Frostfell, anyway. :\
