Just a reminder that the exact definition of “Double Loot” has not been explained. As far as we’ve been able to confirm, it’s a 25% chance to get a second batch of loot off of certain enemies in Thalumbra zones.
Update! Here’s an explanation from Kander:
There have been a lot of questions on how this actually works, so I am going to explain it here. Is it a little late in the promo to be explaining it? It really is. We are knee deep in expansion 13 beta and it just sort of got away from us.
So, Double loot means that any heroic zone end boss or any raid boss in Terrors of Thalumbra [currently] has a 25% chance to roll on their loot table and drop it twice in the same kill. They are able to drop anything on their table twice.
I hope that clears things up, we will most certainly be using this again in the future. Thanks to everyone for being understanding and a special thanks to everyone who has been involved in helping us test Kunark Ascending.
So 25% now equals double?
>.> I was wondering the same thing. lol
There’s a 25% chance you get a 2nd bite at the apple.
It is confusing…it really should be Double Loot Chance, rather than Double Loot….just the addition of one word would clear things up so easily 😛
It’s 1.25 loot.
Agaris, I think you’re still confused. You have a 25% chance to get double loot on certain mobs. Thus, “double loot” is the proper wording, not “double loot chance “.
I’m often confused 🙂 I still think a term that needs to be defined because it is not understood in the first place (and thanks Feldon for doing so!) is – in itself – perhaps poorly termed. But all good….we all know now what it means!
So it’s a 25% chance to double up on loot that’s going to be obsolete in a week and a half?
Yah, seems rather pointless a few days before the new expansion, but its better then a stick in the eye, i guess.
They have always done things like this tho coming up to xpac launch where it’s useless.
