From Gninja on the EQ2 Forums:
Mission givers have returned in AoM zones. Enjoy!
Further clarification from Kander:
Mission givers are back up. We will be running a double Ferrin weekend this weekend for all.
Sorry guys, the back end stuff we have been doing for the DB changes coming, messed with the OS time and caused a few problems. We are glad we caught it quickly too.
Also from Holly “Windstalker” Longdale’s twitter yesterday, we might see a Double Ferrin event this weekend!
Still looking at some funk with the missions givers for #eq2. We're planning a Double Ferrin weekend assuming we fix it (and we should).

Thanks for keeping us in the Loop guys..that means more to us than you can ever know.
WooHoo!!
Do we know what time Friday the dble Ferrins start?
Luckily I have this weekend free – hopefully I can get lots and lots of ferrin!
Seeing as the tradeskill mission givers were missing also, it’d be great to get double Far Seas Tokens, too 🙂
We will see this too. It’s going to be double currency.
I feel a cold coming on I might not make it into work tomorrow cough cough
I love Duck Tales. Double currency is cool, too. 😛
Once again, SOE shows that tradeskillers are the slave class of the game and are meant to be abused by the game makers even under their rebranded moniker of ‘They Break Games’.
Due to winter snow storms in our area the roads were closed, so I had a couple free days off from work. What an ideal time to farm the Far Seas Mara Tokens from the tradeskill quests on all 27 of my tradeskillers! After all I ran all of them through the MoA questline for just that purpose. Then the quest givers are pulled from game, which ended up costing me a total of 490 Far Seas Trading Company Tokens.
They are going to have a ‘double ferrin weekend’ to make up for the inconvenience due to the programming bug they were responsible for, which means absolutely nothing to those of us that will be working over the weekend to make up our lost hours, nor does it mean anything to the tradeskillers whose losses are completely written off as inconsequential and ignored. Way to go ‘They Break Games’. It’s no wonder the player base is shriveling.
SOE clearly planned the snow storm to made sure you work for a company that requires you to work on the weekend.
No, but it is their fault that the quest givers weren’t up at the time I wanted to play the game, and had time to play the game. Perhaps you don’t realize it, but the purpose of paying for a subscription is to be able to play whenever you want. By the way, they are no long SOE, EQ2 has been sold and rebranded themselves with the new moniker ‘Daybreak Games’. On the Freeport Server, they are already being referred to as ‘They Break Games’.
I’ve been covering SOE for over 7 years. Forgive me for having muscle memory. Also I see Daybreak is in no hurry rebranding their websites.
It is double currency weekend, so you will get tradeskill tokens as double too.
It’s double everything. I ran the ts missions and got quadruple FSSD Tokens. So put down your crucifix and get questing. 🙂
I see math isn’t your strong point. I did a couple toons earlier, you get twice the normal tokens, not quadruple. Here’s hoping you aren’t planning on going into an engineering field. Of course life is probably pretty easy living in your parents basement. The rest of us have to work to pay the bills. I only did three toons on my accounts, however after working 14 hours today and having to work another 14 tomorrow, I am going to bed.
Calling the owner of EQ2Wire an EQ2U an idiot incapable of basic math and eliciting the tired “you live in your parents basement” meme. Hopefully it comes as no surprise that you’re now banned from posting comments here. If you are, don’t plan a second career as a psychic.
Go Feldon! What a stupid woman (Rachel not you!)
