Dang was hoping for the fix to Hemotoxin
probley be the april patch
What’s broken with hemotoxin? I’ve healed exclusively this expansion and haven’t played a scout much.
Hemotoxin is a dot. It lasts 14 seconds. It has always overwritten itself from the same user: i.e. if it procs, then procs again 4 seconds later, I lose out on 10 seconds worth of damage.
Assassins have an AA that cuts the duration by 10 seconds, so instead of taking 14 seconds to do it’s full damage, it takes 4 . . . and since scouts use 4 to 6 second weapons, there’s much less chance to overwrite your own hemotoxin.
The problem now is, it is being overwritten by every scout and only one Hemo is applying to the mob. EVERYONE is losing out on the damage potential it can do.
Other scouts use Hemo because, especially on AoE fights, they’re seeing more overall damage due to less chance of it overwriting on the same mob.
Overwriting other scouts’ poison. Still best poison dps in our raids even for rangers.
I’d like to see my caustic doing 2M+ dps but I get less than half that from caustic. Pushing 1.8M+ with hemotoxin but still can’t touch the assassin.
Assassins have AA bonuses for hemotoxin, you shouldn’t be doing as much dps as them.
