When Fabled and Mythical versions of the Channeler Epic Weapon were discovered, players couldn’t help notice a passing resemblance to existing drops from the Temple of Veeshan Labs group instance and the Pirate Kings raid zone:
Channeler Fabled: Spiritbreaker | ToV Labs Bow: Wurm Sinew Strung Bow |
Channeler Mythical: Spiritbreaker, Eianosheoll’s Folly | Pirate Kings Bow: Hullpiercer, Ship Destroyer |
The main differentiator between the Mythical and its more common drop is a 15% higher damage rating, and it seems that the Fabled epic was supposed to have a similarly boosted rating. Further, the two level 80 buffs for completing the Mythical quest, bringing the questline up to par with Epic Repercussions were intended to be granted for completing either the heroic or raid versions of the quest. Those buffs are as follows:
- \aITEM 28893089 1030440917 0 0 0:[Blackwood’s Focus]\/a
- \aITEM 1713841204 1529290975 0 0 0:[Redirection]\/a
From Kander on the EQ2 Forums:
The fact you did not get the buffs for the heroic part of the quest and that they were granted on the mythical part was a bug. We are fixing this. Buffs will be available on the Shady Swashbuckler for those who have completed it. Also we will be raising the damage rating on the heroic bow so that it is the best bow available to that play style.
Oh and we are shooting to have all these changes in for tomorrow.
- Spiritbreaker [Fabled] has had a slight increase in effectiveness
- Channeler mythical spells have been moved to the quest The Red Shadow’s Long Fingers and added to the Shady Erudite if you have already completed that quest.
- House items for Spiritbreaker and Spiritbreaker, Eianosheoll’s Folly have been added to the Shady Erudite.
