  1. I still believe the EQ model for multi-mercs is far superior. Granted it is 1000 SC per slot, but the OTO charge unlocks the option account wide and — aside from a minor refresh delay- allows you to toggle back and forth willy-nilly.

  2. Hi,

What if I already paid 100 station cash for my current merc? I did it last night when I was soloing in Vesspyr. Could you explain exactly how the mercenary process works? Because last night the only way I could get my merc was to pay the station cash.

    1. If you paid 100SC, then you can now access that merc any time, even if you have switched to another merc, you can always re-summon it.

The merc unlocks are a convenience feature. I understand a LOT of people were confused by it last night. But you always had the ability to do a /merc resume, even if it was not well-documented. People kept saying that command in channels like Test.test and Homeshow.

    2. The UI’s a bit confusing. The merc you’ve currently got shows in two places: at the top as the active merc, and below in the list of all mercs you’ve hired. You have to select the active merc at the top to get the Return button. Selecting it in the lower list gets you the Unlock button if you haven’t unlocked that merc. The distinction between the two places wasn’t exactly made clear.

Earlier bugs had the active merc entry not working right, hence the confusion. Custom UIs also mess it up if they haven’t updated to all of the new elements (the old windows work, sort of, but not the way they should). All that was cleared up by the time it went live, but before that it had people scratching their heads.

  3. I want to know if htey have fixed the trade in merchant. It was there in the morning andthey pulled it due to some exploit. Can’t stand the default gear they giving as it is useless to my wizzy. 🙁

    1. There is no Chymot bug that I am aware of. What’s happened is, you now have to go around and do all the other subquests, which is over 100 quests for Harla Dar and many other NPCs in the zone. They’re good, well-written quests for the most part, without too much errand-running, but yeah, you will be stuck with no clue as to what’s going on until you do all those subquests first.
