At long last, the EverQuest2.com website has been updated with a current list of Community Fan Sites and News pages. This page can be reached under the Community menu under Links.
Of course we’re happy to see EQ2Wire listed — hey it only took us 4 1/2 years! — as well as our sister site EQ2U and Dethdlr’s recently updated Adornment Calculator. It’s great to see the number of sites listed which have contributed so much to the EverQuest II world and player community.
Thanks to Dexella who reached out to the Fan Site community to make sure she was working with the best possible list of sites that are still relevant to the EQ2 world.
If it makes you feel any better, EQ2’sDay never made it on the list after 7 years of being on the air.
Heck, it was only this February that SoE even noticed that no one from OGR was even on the Influencers Panel anymore after they removed us 3 years ago
Double post, but I should mention that Online Gaming Radio did finally get on the list as well. Have to give Dexella credit where it is due. 🙂
Where is EQ2Flames? That site alone has contributed more to EQ2 then any other. Though this site is a close second.
Long overdue Feldon,grats!
Bit surprised to see Ten Ton Hammer there.Aside from a news feed, all their articles seem to date from 09.
Lulz eq2flames is still not friends with soe then
Grats Feldon.
They still are not giving you the recognition you deserve, but at least they are acknowledging the existence of eq2wire now.
Yay! Congrats Feldon and Dethdlr!
I got lucky years back and sent my website to Soffrina (french CSR at that time) as soon as I finished to build it and it went straight to the list. Not that there’s competition guide-wises on the french side anyway.
Which reminds me that I should post my community post now that a bunch of pages are usable by english-speaking people (yay for both of you and your tooltips).
I see that Fluffy made it too, great idea as it’s the most reliable quest list.
LOL, EQ2 Flames is not so much a fan site as a place to gripe and complain about players, guilds, devs, etc. Most of the guides on there are old and if someone asks a question they are “flamed”, thus the name of the site, for asking the obvious or stupid question.
I can see this list is of fan sites that actually try to help out the community, and thus the reason EQ2Flames is not on it.
Just my 2 cents.
I agree about eq2flames, until their site gets more current and lot more helpful, I wouldn’t send people that way, either.
It used to be fairly useful as far as AA builds and so forth, but now, it’s too dated and I don’t trust the information. Half the people that post there, it appears, haven’t played the game in years.
Grats Feldon on finally getting the recognition you deserve! I am also glad, in a general sense, to have a page I can send new players to for information.
yea you’re right eq2flames is a terrible place and so outdated. I don’t even know what those class specific break down ‘parse’ threads are suppose to be or why names for top players/guilds are just out in the open; like, uh omg am i suppose to go to u.eq2wire and look them up? no thank you mister mister it’s just to hard /long sigh. And this one time, little billy got flamed because he asked, politely mind you, what class would look best on his resume uuuuuhhhhhh it’s so bad, bad like Gucci sweaters; CHEA, HELLO?!
tee-EL dee-R; no thank you mister eq2flames is so nasty uuuhh; wutever.
And Clownshoe gets the award for best example of an eq2flames post. 🙂
Nah, not quite flames style. Not enough references to genitalia and what the poster would do with the other poster relatives because said person obviously lacks the mental capacity to play the game yadda yadda.
