First Look: Sleeper’s Tomb

Written by Feldon on . Posted in Game Updates & Maintenance, Grouping, Raiding

Thanks to Polish EQ2 player Kinya who has provided us with some screenshots of the visually stunning Sleeper’s Tomb group zone. The EQ2 Art Design team have really outdone themselves this time.

UPDATE: The Sleeper’s Tomb, which opens next Tuesday, offers two variations:

  • Sleeper’s Tomb: The Awakening (group)
  • Sleeper’s Tomb: A Temporal Leap (raid)

That better be a new T4 guild hall.

Looks like slight hints of both the Kromzek and Drundr zones, but that makes sense given the region. Nice clean flat floors, nothing to stumble on, or prevent line of issues. Good job SOE.

@Silzin, only two zones for the Prelude release, but I believe there is nine new “instances” for the new expansion. My best guess is another 3 instances EM, 3 instances HM, and 3 new raid zones, but no clue yet.

Where does Sleeper’s Tomb (group) fall in the difficulty range? After under depths and but before the first HM group? Just wondering if it’s going to be another Drunder (e.g., good luck doing it in heroic gear).

Any guides anywhere to the heroic versions? The duo version was fine but we’re getting nowhere with the group version, either because we don’t have raid gear or because there are obscure tricks to every mob.
