  1. Polls I cant wait to see that. Dungion maker well if you dont have the xpac then you get squat, I am still not buying the xpac. The rest is stuff they would do anyways, and have been doing for years.

  2. Bad, they are going to give you “behind the scenes videos” in the coming weeks! This will really speed up new lvl 90 content!! I vote for the new hot blonde producer changing in the locker room after a work out!

  3. The DM dungeons can be run w/o the expansion – so even though the new creature spawners aren’t of use to you, the activators are. Plus it means additional variety in the dungeons AND I like the proposed changes to how the avatars work. {I like the dungeons over all, and don’t think balancing with player characters is feasible, but agree that the avatars get boring}

  4. If you don’t have the exp then DM is of no use to you, you can’t any of the tokens you get from painfully running one with the lack luster avatars.

    The only reason people even run them is for the tokens, just like BG use to be ran for. If not for the tokens these places would be a ghost town like the arenas.

  5. I wonder if the mail is going to go to every one of your toons then? Sounds like spam to me, though I am glad to see some polls in game, I think a better system could have been implemented. Hopefully if you answer on one toon then it deletes the mail from all your toons or something.

  6. In-game mail for polls? Seriously?

    I’m kind of disappointed, because I was envisioning an actual mini-survey app that could aggregate and chart replies efficiently, rather than a system where you have to painstaklingly codify open-ended questions. It’s not much different than /feedback otherwise, and it will probably take them forever to figure out what they’ve actually learned as a result.

    Maybe it will just include a link to surveymonkey. Ha.

      I’m pretty sure they are modifying the Mail system to support questionnaires. I don’t see them expecting everyone to fill out essay questions. The big question is, will they be well-written questions? Most well-intentioned people end up writing push polls with an expected/intended answer. It’s actually very challenging to write good questions that don’t lead the audience.

  7. You’re right about that, Feldon! I work for a market research company and there are many ways well-intentioned polls can shoot themselves in the foot. It will probably be a learning experience for them, you can count on that. Now, will they learn quickly enough… we’ll see. 🙂
