Dungeon Finder Almost Ready for Test
Looks like Dungeon Finder is just about ready to go to Test and Test Copy.

Just finished play testing Dungeon Finder for EQ2 again. It’s almost ready for test server, very exciting!
Friday September 16 UPDATE from SmokeJumper:
It should hit the Test server today. We have one last playtest to do this morning to be sure, and if it passes that, then to Test it goes!

“our game”? Last I checked SOE owned the game and they give you the right to play it, for a Fee. Entitlement is a ugly thing.

Is the server status thing working? In other words, were the servers down this morning — says my server has been up for 18 minutes, that doesn’t seem right. But I had a computer restart about 18 minutes ago … hmm.

@Kwill: SOE’s reporting system has some issues that they are working to resolve. Those issues cause both their own server status page, and my server status page in the right column to sometimes report stale data. Because of that, I modified mine to show question marks on it if it has been over 11 minutes since it got a response since the information is questionable at that point. If you put your cursor over the icon it will tell you exactly how long it’s been since it got an update. That number shows how long since it got an update, not how long it’s been up. As of this writing, they all say 35 minutes ago or longer. Late yesterday, they were up to 14 hours before I got someone to kick it. They know about the problem and are seeing what can be done about it, but until then, it not only effects the status here on EQ2Wire and other places where this widget is employed, but also on SOE’s new status page. 🙁 Hopefully they’ll get it fixed soon. At least now they know there is a problem. 🙂

Yea guess that internal play test didn’t go so well:/ At least they didn’t toss it on there anyways. I am guessing they found and issue and working to fix it. That is what I like to see really; them fixing all the issues they can find 1st then putting it on test of us to find the rest. (fixing the issues we find is another story)

I keep seeing people post that the matchmaker is just the busted BG one. I’m sure SJ or other SOE person said they were developing the dungeon finder fresh that would replace the BG one (broken) one. Did I dream that?
