He managed to say a lot by saying nothing. DoV content sometime thats not now. Deity revamp later on. Cool stuff coming in 3-4 months. Oh, but you can buy some new houses.
*yawn*
Some people just can’t be happy about anything. I don’t really do the house thing either but that sounds pretty cool. Jartal, maybe you need to play a different game or if you’ve quit EQ2 already maybe you need to quit reading about it. You sound like a really fun person to hang out with.
I have never been on an x4 raid but I don’t come on and complain when raid zones are the major points of updates either.
I realize this game is multi-faceted and many people find varying ways to enjoy it.
you really think marketplace and buy house is playing ? wow. That have absolutly nothing to see with a game.
Luminaire, some of us like playing new content instead of decorating our houses and playing dress up with Station Cash store outfits.
Jartal – you mean the content that gives you access to more clothes so you can play dress up with your virtual doll?
Lathain – I think I could take umbrage with what you said but I cannot really understand what you said.
Jartal, I’ve already said that I don’t get into the house stuff other than a place to store excess items. They are adding stuff to the game, we are less than 2 months out from an expansion and there is more to come in a couple of months. I’m not sure I can add anymore to what Steve has already said about you playing dress up with your virtual doll. Some people play the game different than you do, just accept it or move on to something else.
If you want to flame other members for their opinions, there is an excellent forum for doing so: EQ2Flames.com.
We know the freeze happens today, so maybe we will get patch notes today. What a lot of people are saying is that there won’t be an expansion come feb 2012. I think that is unlikely if for no other reason that they must feed the beast.
I am sure their finance dept projects annual box sales with a certain percentage being collectors editions. Let’s say EQ2 has 250K subs that purchase expansions every year within a twelve month period. Let’s say about 20 percent of those buy the collectors edition. That’s 11M in the 12 month period. I don’t see them willingly giving up on that revenue source, considering development is ongoing at any rate.
I’ll also bet their station cash sales spike around the time of expansion launches. 1. XP potion sales almost certainly rise 2. The excitement surrounding the expansion may cause people to buy more stuff, like appearance gear or whatever.
