Grandmaster Issues — Resetting to Apprentice and Client Crashes

While we wait for Crushbone to return after nearly 5 hours of downtime, it looks like there are a few glitches in today’s Grandmaster spell rollout.

First up, if you use the StationCash Marketplace to upgrade one of your level 95 Master spells to Grandmaster, and if that spell happens to be one of your character’s choices as a Grandmaster, then the next time your character Zones or Camps, that spell will be reset to Apprentice. [Read More…]

A number of players are reporting that, after starting Research on a Grandmaster spell, their game clients are crashing and cannot log that character back in. [Read More…]

    So the patch that was delayed a week to stomp bugs has…bad bugs?

    I am sorry, but this makes me laugh pretty hard. I know it is hard to get all the bugs out, but this one is quite funny. Not sure what they tested on, but it does not seem to be a representation of the actual live servers. lol.

    I’m guessing they probably didn’t perform every “idiot bug test” (IBT) that players could think of. Who would have thought someone would pay SC to upgrade a spell to GM that was already chosen as their free GM choice? Funny thing about those sorts of bugs is that they are seldom covered fully and often cascade problems elsewhere.
    They’ll get it fixed. ♡♡

      They chose to pay SC to upgrade a spell to GM that was available as a GM choice, so they could then switch to another one.
