From the EQ2 Forums:

GENERAL

  • Currency can no longer be moved directly to the shared bank from the Currency tab. You will need to move it to a bag first and then to the shared bank.
  • Corrected an issue where a player would not receive Ornate Crate of Goods if their group loot options were set to Fabled+.

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
General

  • Ground mounts can now be used in Sleeper’s Tomb: The Forgotten Catacombs and Chelsith: The Ancient Vault.

Vesspyr Isles

  • Many named NPCs in this zone were adjusted to have more health and less melee damage. Additionally, several of their non-functional spells were fixed.

Accursed Sanctum: Guardian of Adherence

  • Lowered health of sanctum enforcers.
  • Increased the variance of which these adds will mem-wipe so that there is less chance of them doing it all at once.
  • Lowered damage output of custodial architect.

ABILITIES / ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT
Channeler

  • Construct Color spells now persist through death and zoning.
  • Truespirit Rift now properly heals raid members.

Dirge

  • Infectious Dissonance now caps at 20 times the maximum health of the target of Exuberant Encore.

Shadowknight

  • Siphon Essence now properly modifies Leach Touch when applied to Reaper’s Touch.

ITEMS

  • Fixed a typo in Rarthek’s Scale Bracelet.
  • A Pair of Ancient Gold Flecked Rubies is no longer a stackable item.
  • Rare drop offensive armor with no stamina now contains the descriptive text indicating what gems can be used to upgrade it.
  • Flow Break now properly shows that it dispels when a healing spell is used.
  • Talan’s Casting Necklace pattern can now be consumed correctly.
  • The Finisher now shows that it only modifies abilities.
  • Plundered Mistmoore Secrets once again inflicts the right amount of damage.

TRADESKILLS

  • The final craft for the weekly tradeskill mission has been made significantly more difficult.

QUESTS

  • Those who have completed “Sent for Savtek,” will receive a piece of mail from Veasna. He will then offer a quest which will walk players through the gem upgrader mechanic.
  • Dissatisfied with Qeynos: Sprockfuddle now properly updates this betrayal quest.
  • Comforting Confections: Required quest items will now persist when you leave and re-enter the corresponding grotto zone.
  • Blooming Good Tea: Required quest items will now persist when you leave and re-enter the corresponding grotto zone.
  • Vision of Scale: Making a talon root paste and consuming the paste are both group updates now. If one player completes the task, all group mates on the same step will get credit.
  • Found quests in heroic dungeons should now reward slightly more coin when completed.

I am still trying to figure out why they would remove functionality. 🙁

My guess is it’s something to do with loyalty tokens. They’re account-wide and can’t be put anywhere else, it’s possible that there’s a problem caused by that interacting with the ability to drag currency directly into the shared bank (which doesn’t belong to a specific character). Eg., the actual fix is:

“We have confusion when we’re simultaneously trying to check whether currency can be dragged out of the currency pane onto your character and whether it can be dropped into a shared container. Fix: disallow dragging out of the currency pane and into a shared container in one operation so we can do each check separately.”

Im thinking this is a problem i have experienced first hand. when i tried to purchase the plat bag from the loyalty tokens, Transfer would take place but would not be able to unpack the bag unless i /camp self. at least i hope this was the issue.

I am guessing it would have something to do with an exploit.

After today, If you turn in a ToV shiny collection and yer under level 92, you get a Sealed Draconic Etyma Scroll which is NO TRADE and you can’t open it til you are level 92.

Should stop the “create level 1 char and turn in ToV collections to get more Etyma” sploit.

Can you really call it an exploit? Collection rewards have worked this way forever. Back in Sentinel’s Fate the various collections would yield charm items that were heirloom and could be traded to other characters or used to complete meta-collections that yielded better charm items. I recall people doing this same trick to be able to complete the meta-collection while still having the charm item from the original collection. They haven’t considered it an exploit all this time, or at least not enough of one to bother fixing it before this.

Plus the game economy has a natural counter: once people start doing this, the broker prices for the collectibles skyrocket making it expensive to buy the collections. And farming for the shinies is fairly time-consuming, you can get etyma faster by just running daily missions.

stopping level 1 alts from getting etyma is a nice compromise

but i wonder how they will make the weekly ts quest more difficult ? Maybe they can ask us to collect more healing herbs ? I have more issues donig this daily than in any of the weekly quests that I’ve done so far.

Does this level 92 turn in for etyma work for high level crafters, for example would a level 80 brigand but level 95 woodworker get etyma or a scroll?

Yes – I’ve a few < 95 Adv, but 95 crafters, and they get the daily 2 x DE every day.

DE harvesting is a pain, but no worse than collection Obols, or Blus Coins, or Shards, or whatever. I'm not worried about making the final cmbine difficult – as long as it isn't randomised to make it impossible, then fine, I'll take a risk – I've enough crafting experience to have a go at most things, and with the Crafting AAs, and some Far Seas gear, there's not much not do-able.

One please – vaguely connected to the DE story. Could we have a once-per-account, short-notice 'exchange' day, please? I've loads of Obols, Shards, you name it, and they are useless. If a one-off to discourage farming, surely it's a way of helping us get rid of these?

    Dear Santa glug,

All I want for frostfell is for boss mobs to drop etyma. I have been a very good shaman, just ask my spirit companion. I know you read EQ2wire. Please spread some holiday etyma cheer.

Not that much longer than crafting used to take back in the days when men were real men, rattonga were real rattonga and engraved desks were wanted for player killing. 😉
