EverQuest II: Tears of Veeshan Pre-Order Items Unveiled
At last, the EverQuest II: Tears of Veeshan pre-order items have been unveiled. With Beta starting sometime next week, and the expansion falling mid-November, it’s great to get to see these items.
From Tony “RadarX“ on the EQ2 Forums and EverQuest2.com:
The Tears of Veeshan Pre-Order is now available and for a limited time only. Take this opportunity to pick up the new expansion and its pre-order bonus, the Veeshan Loyalty Cloak! As you can see below, this cloak not only says you have great fashion sense, but tells Kerafyrm that you’d prefer he not destroy the world.
Also, both the Standard and Collector’s Editions include the Aeraykn Monk Mercenary “Slymar. “ Wings, horns, and clawed feet give this merc a unique and intimidating look.
While the Standard Edition will get you the full expansion and a pretty sweet mercenary, the Collector’s Edition really brings more to the table for the player who wants the complete EverQuest II experience. First, this Tears of Veeshan painting which should satisfy anyone’s craving for dragons.
Interested in a break from that Nightmare or Icy Pegasus you’ve been riding? The Darkcrow Etherwing Mount will not only soar over the Vesspyr Isles, but scare local children away, also only available in the Collector’s Edition.
If you are looking for a change of scenery or somehow managed to fill that massive Grotto, the Collector’s Edition also provides you with an Ethernere Enclave Prestige Home. Impress your friends by telling them you own an actual Enclave.
Last but certainly not least, what will help fill your brand new enclave? This adorable Shissar Custodian plushie, that’s what. Sure, he has no legs, but he will hover around loyally and serve you until the day you forget to pay your upkeep.
Remember, Tears of Veeshan is only available for pre-order for a limited time, so head to the store and grab yours today!

Glad to see exactly what each choice offers. Thankfully nothing is drawing me to preorder or the CE.

Some detail not included above:
Overland Dragon Realm – Adventure, amenities, quests, collections, and more!
New Dungeons
New Class – Channeler!
Dragon-themed AAs
New itemization focused on flexibility
Brand New Quests – An abundance of new quests to bring you great stories and adventures!
AA limit raised to 340
More Tradeskill and Tradeskill Apprentice Items
New PvP item tier
So three years on my prediction of never seeing a level 100+ player in EQ2 is safe for another year 🙂
Still headroom for another expansion or two, but I wonder when SOE will try and sell us a ‘new’ game (EQ Next is not it) for EQ2/EQ1 players?

It does say Pre-Order items very clearly.

So are you suggesting the Xpac itself is not included with the pre-order?

No, that’s not what he’s suggesting. The article is about the pre-order and CE items, not about the full expansion itself, which is what your response says Feldon missed.
I know there isn’t anything in the pre-order or CE that grabs my interest in the slightest.

LOL, I know what Feldon was writing about, I know what RadarX was writing about. Both took it as understood that the Xpac was included in the pre-order and were talking about what else was included.
My original comment was intended to serve two purposes, one to detail what the Xpac contained and the second to point out it did not include a raising of the level cap.
I suspect your peeve and that of Foodcity is with my implication that the game may have a finite future, however long that may be.

My point was that this is an article for pre-order item images to be revealed, not for details on the entire expansion which i’m sure will come in due time.

little disappointed that the mount is merely a color variant of the already in game gryphon we have :-(. The plushie meh, the cloak cool but not worth $20, the house pretty but again just another house to decorate the painting blah. the merc is cool looking though so wrap it all together. Is it worth the $20 or not…….
Decisions decisions…..

I’d love to have that Shissar plushie as a pet illusion. It’d fit perfectly with my gnomey-tinkery toon.

I love the house – I prefer the outdoor ones because I can build my own abode from scatch. Was waiting to see it. Not sure its worth the extra money but meh, I’ll bite. I want the house!

So, nothing worth buying an over-expensive CE, just as anticipated…
Maybe pre-order because I’m addicted to this game, but nothing more 🙂

oh boy!!! just cant wait!! sure, im gonna pay 60.00 for a stupid cloak and a cheap mount, just like last xpac, when a better mount will drop from the new zones in the first place—NOT!!!

I really like the prestige home. Will it be available for purchase from the marketplace? The collection edition is with it for me just for the house.

XD this is my favorite set of CE extras ever. XD Love the house, LOVE the mount (won’t have to try and farm a black griffon off of King Tormax now /whew!) the merc, well I’ll decide when i get it if it beats my wearwolfies from the last CE edition. The painting is quite nice.
Anyone know if the plushie does anything?

Sadly, if you aren’t a healer the monk is pretty much useless. Unless something has drastically changed if you are not a healer in this game your merc almost has to be a healer to survive.
Granted there may be some that get by without using a healer merc that aren’t healers but in my opinion a monk merc is pointless for most.
