POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
Sleeper’s Tomb: The Forgotten Catacombs

  • The Eternal Sentinel now only needs to trample the smaller gargoyles once each to knock them over.

Wurmbone Gulch (Crag)

  • [Heroic] – Merglok the Slasher gives you more time to move away. He will give a message every time he is going to go into “Clawed Storm”. Clawed Storm has had its damage reduced.
  • [Advanced Solo] – Merglok the Slasher will give a message every time he is going to go into “Clawed Storm”. He claws slower now and Clawed Storm has had its damage reduced.

No complaints from me to make some mobs needed for the solo timeline easier.

Game-breaking? Hardly. I was able to complete the sig quest on my Dirge, Monk and Beastlord. Parts of it are hard, yes, but certainly not impossible.

Considering it was almost a mandotory thing to complete this sig line, and they do have plenty of players who are not that well geared that would like to complete it, I think this was a nice decision.

All it took was a merc and small amount of thought to get past Merglok the Slasher on any solo geared toon, he was in no way hard unless you flat out didn’t pay attention. I can see adding the message after all, it did give it on the 1st round but decreasing the dmg? why not just take it out if your going that far.

@Albinoni, try it on a coercer-not so easy! Still can’t get thru ST solo for Q update. He’s well geared and 94.

I was able to complete the entire timeline before hitting 95 on my paladin. I used the Skyshrine Inquisitor Merc and I was wearing SS Legendary/Merchant Gear. When I beat Sleeper’s Tomb, the final boss was red. It wasn’t easy, and I needed the Merc to revive me several times, but it was possible. Oh, and I did all this without walkthroughs or zone guides, just skill.

Not every one has access to mercenaries, and not every one wants to pay 40$ for them. Making the Solo zone easier so more people can do the signature line is not a big deal.

Who doesn’t have access to mercenaries?!

Visit a capital city our play in SS for the ancient mercenaries. Otherwise, find an elite by researching and hunting them. You can also buy or beg a tradable merc from other players/broker. None of those cost $40, unless you don’t earn your plat in game and opt to buy play using cards or Chrono, instead.

I got all 8 of my 95’s though the zone. Only 2 of them are raid geared one not so much as it sits in dov raid gear (my warlock). The rest of my toons including my gimped necro got though this zone.

You just had to watch for the message on the screen, and back off to a safe distance, then take him back to the middle and angle yourself to back up again.

As far as folks without Merc’s just ask somebody for help, you can take 2 folks in those zones. Even my wife’s gimp necro did it in legendary gear, but then I was on my defiler healing her.

And for those who did not buy aod why not there has been so much double station and tripple station cash you should have been able to get enough sc to buy the xpac.

I got to say I don’t run that zone solo after putting 8 level 95 toons through that timeline, that mob was just a pain in the rear, but he is doable.
