SC: Tenebrous Island Refuge, Brewmaster’s Furniture, & Allizewsaur

Written by Feldon on . Posted in Art, Appearance, Housing, Daybreak Cash

If you have been hoping for an empty lot to build a house from the ground up, that moment has finally arrived, with the Tenebrous Tangle Island Refuge! She’s not much of a looker unadorned, but with a soft item limit of 800, and a hard limit of 1,100 items with both expanders, it will be interesting to see what players come up with. Although there’s been nothing official, we suspect that the Felwithe Mansion will land in the next week or two.

From EverQuest2.com:

Ready to move on up? The Tenebrous Island Refuge lets you live on your own private island in the skies. A tiny island hovers above and provides a beautiful little waterfall into your own private pond. The grounds are lush and ready for you to build on! It’s rent-free, but remember that adventurers may only own one Tenebrous Island Refuge per character. Pick up your Deed of Ownership today for 1350 SC on the Marketplace.

    Its a cool addition, what gets me though is that they can actaully add this to the game at all. I think it shows one big clear difference between EQ2 which has at least some sand boxy elements, and other MMO’s that are just storylines on rails.

    Housing is one of the strongest aspects of EQ2 and has probably helped retain a big chunk of the playerbase that might have otherwise moved on to Minecraft and its ilk.

    We have the best housing of any game that exist other than possibly swg. I love how we can fix our houses up to look like whatever you can think. I been thinking about getting the other vanity houses, im going to have to tour this island when it comes out.

    @Isest,

    You can tour the island and the mansion now, the portals are up in the cities (SFP for us evil toons).

    I must admit after taking a tour of the Island, I do want one.

    The Felwithe house was available for touring on the Freeport server last night, but I couldn’t find a deed for sale on the SC store yet. The house is really beautiful. Not the sort of place a heartless reptile like me would live, but very impressive nonetheless.

    Anyone know where or how to get the necessary items to build on the site? Looking for things like walls, floors, doors, ceilings, stairs, etc. Will these things be crafted by carpenters? Bought on marketplace?

    Are they ever going to release the Sky Skiff to the general populace?

    @Lizzie You can find walls and floors(tiles) everywhere. Type in “tile” or “divider” in the broker window and you’ll get several walls and tiles to choose from. You can get doors on the broker as well – but it’s probably cheaper to get some when the next city festival comes around. Stairs- one place I know of is on Kerra Island (from the Kerran Faction Merchant) or you can make your own by using shelves or benches. I’ve used the EQ2 Layout editor program for making ceilings out of dividers.

    Lizzieanna,

    Tinkerfest goes live tomorrow, which has a ton of floor tiles, dividers, etc.

    You might want to check out http://www.EverSeek.com/ which is a catalog of every crafted item in the game, sortable by type.
