Feldon After reading the Upcoming Housing Improvements! thread on the EQ2 Forums, and then hearing more about these changes in the Velious Webcasts, one might have logically concluded that these changes would be IN Velious.
You’ll recall that SmokeJumper referred to the Freeblood Estate, as well as Miragul’s Summer Home (part of the Velious Digital Collector’s Edition) as being smaller prestige homes that would connect to your main house once these changes went into effect.
After the jump, we get an estimate about when we might see Multiple Housing Ownership…

It’s understandable that we confused the issue for you here. We probably shouldn’t have talked about house ownership until after DoV launched, but we wanted to explain why we kept giving you smaller houses as rewards for stuff, because small houses didn’t make sense…unless you could own multiples of them.
So I released info about the multiple house ownership and Prestige Homes…but it’s not linked to DoV.
The house stuff should roll out sometime next month.
What about porting from your house to a friend’s house? This may not be so far-fetched. During the Velious Launch Webcast, SmokeJumper indicated that with the code changes Zoltaroth has been making, this may very well be possible by being able to gift a housing portal/totem to a friend who would then able to directly visit your home.
Obviously this is in the conception stage and so no promises have been made, but this is certainly interesting news.
So, they sale this Xpac in CE with this feature, and once you get in the game, you’re beeing told that this feature is not available, and “should arrive next month” …
OMG, I’m so frustrated giving them my money again, and that I paid for ONE YEAR in advance.
I should have spared my money and give it to some other societies with more experience in polishing their games.
SOE, you really sucks, I’ve tried to stay still for the previous months, trying to give my guildies motivation to stay on this game and telling them that Velious would be great … Now, I realize that I should have keep silence and let them go where they wanted to go.
I truly hope that you’re going to loose sub for this Xpac and that SJ will get fired!
Gabe, you are completely wrong, no where and I mean no where did SOE or SJ ever mention that multiple housing would be a part of this expansion. He stated very clearly in the Web Chats that they would be coming later. The only thing that was promised in this Xpac was the summer home and that’s it. Seriously, if this is what gets you so upset, maybe it’s time you left the game.
Not really sure how anyone made the mistake of thinking this would be a feature released with Velious. It was never ever mentioned in the feature list for this expansion. The only ones who could have been confused were those who remained ignorant about this expansion.
Its like Halas, it wasn’t linked with the expansion, all they did was announce it would be implemented.
A wait of one month or so doesn’t sound like the end of the world to me.
