  1. Could this be the beginning of the PTW conversion?
I wonder if we will get mythical treasure chests that require ultra rare keys (or purchasable keys using EQ cash)? That’d be so awesome! I would finally have time to do that online course I want to do. LoL

    1. I thought SOE was NOT bought by Perfect world? This is starting to resemble it, with the gambling real money for MAYBE getting a shard/ingredient/jewel or what have you. /shudder I don’t want to play perfect world. /..\ The gambling for fluff was bad enough… Perfect world got to the point you can’t even do endgame content unless you gambled for gems to make items, items to add things to, blabla bla till you finally got the top tier item. Each step took a lot of money, and each step you had a chance of things blowing up and getting nothing, having to start a ground 0… I didn’t stay long enough there to get past the low level gear… I could have bought a house for the amount some people spent to get a single item put together. And those people waited in the PVP areas to splatter everyone else. I think Perfect World was actualy was some weird level of hell. o.0

    1. Could you show some examples? Up until the lvl 85s and 90s, there were just a few potions that honestly don’t make a huge difference. Sure, you could skip a quest to get a flying mount, but if you call that PTW, well… who’s melodramatic now? o.0

  2. Hang on a minute… Provisioners are getting rares and Advanced Books? And this isn’t the major headline? I know I’m not playing regularly right now but as a Provisioner from launch this sounds like some of the biggest EQ2 news I’ve heard in years!

Was this expected? Did I miss some previous announcement? Or is it straight out of the blue as it seems?

    1. If they said anything about this happening I missed it. I think its out of the blue. It will be interesting to see what the recipes are. I would guess they have been working on this a while.
