Yesterday we received an e-mail from SOE informing us of a 25% discount on their SOE Authenticator keyring security fobs licensed from Vasco. These devices can be ordered from the SOE Station Store for $7.49 plus shipping and handling. This promotion ends November 17, 2011 at 8:59am PDT (11:59am EDT; 16:59 GMT; 17:59 CET).
Note the free SOE Mobile Authenticator app for iPhone and Android is still listed as ‘Coming Soon’.
You can read the SOE Authenticator Frequently Asked Questions at SOE.com.
Guess people are not very enthusiastic about this option if it is already on sale. 🙂
It’s an extra step, lots of folks might not fool with it. Especially given the, erm, features of the current launchpad iteration. (Oh yeah, that’s a security breach just waiting to happen… 🙄
Shipping was free for me.
Considering the down time we had we should all recieve this for free. Just saying you want me to feal good about your security then it should be part of my subscription price.
I forgot I still have that in the bag in my closet with fanfaire stuff in it.
I would have to agree with Isest, but these should be given to free to those who stayed after the “free” time was given. They could charge for those who are returning or new subscriber or F2Pers who were not effected during the down time.
0the service is free. you are just paying for the key phob. wiat a little longer and anyone with a mart phone will be able to download a free app that does the same thing. People always want something for nothing. Its a nice additional bit of security, been using mine since they came out.
We also have a few left to give away on the EQ2’sDay show one of these days.
@trueflight, how easy are the numbers to read, I have one for calling into my old job and the numbers are small enough I have to put on my #3 reading glasses just to read them, but that was due to work buying elcho ones that were way small.
Remember.. “Soon” is Trademarked by SOE and is defined by.. well.. when we get around to finishing it, hehehe
