From the EQ2 Forums:

ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT SYSTEM CHANGES

  • Up to 280 AAs will be granted as part of leveling up. Every level after 10 until level 90 characters will receive 3 AA points. Every 5th level characters will receive an additional 2 AA points, for a total of 5. Once a player reaches 280 AAs, all AA grants will cease. If characters are not at 280 AA points upon reaching level 90, they will receive additional points to reach 280.
  • All existing characters will be grandfathered their missing additional AA points. For example, in the new system a level 25 character would have been granted a total of 56 AA points, so all level 25 characters will be granted an additional 56 AA points. This AA grant won’t set a character’s AA count above 280.
  • Touch of the Steward, the AA bauble from Chains of Eternity, is now usable starting at level 10 instead of level 90.
  • The Marketplace AA bauble, Untapped Achievements, will now grant 320 AA points instead of 280 AA points. All existing Untapped Achievement baubles will be automatically exchanged for the new version.

DUNGEON MAKER

  • Fixed an issue preventing the Mistmoore 5 dungeon layout from loading properly.

GENERAL

  • Salvaging has been reworked to be more consistent, salvaging items above level 95 should now return components of the correct tier. [Ed Note: Previously Salvaging only worked on level 100 items]

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
General

  • Arms Master Ryan now speaks with the correct gender voice.

Ossuary: Cathedral of Bones [Raid]

  • Inquisitor Soronigus should no longer summon his imps after he has been killed.

Ossuary of Malevolence [Contested]

  • There are now teleporters to get to two previously inaccessible bosses.

ITEMS

  • Improved Restoration II and III now properly display the correct value.

QUESTS

  • Fixed multiple adventuring writs to update off of the correct NPC.
  • Fixed an issue where players were not offered the correct adventuring writs for their level.

So has the Dungeon Maker nerf been delayed? Or is it still happening and they just didn’t say so in the notes?

Bah, nevermind, that happened in the 16th update.

Yeah, that’s been around for a while. It just used to give 280 before and has been swapped for an identical item giving 320 now.

I also believe they lowered the level to 10. Previous versions required a higher level (90, I think)

Yea, the Touch of the Steward items that came with purchase of Chains of Eternity required level 90. The SC baubles were always 10, I believe.

Did the changes not go in today? I logged in and my level 90 is still sitting at 190 AAs. I’m not F2P and paying a monthly sub.

Thanks, I thought I was an insta-pop, but it looks like it takes a little bit for it to happen. ❓ 🙂

I logged in today, and my level 58 with 144 AA jumped to 280 AA and got two achievements.

I found you needed to recommit your AA line to get the extra AAs.
