From the EQ2 Forums:
ABILITIES
- Player strikethrough can now go over 50%.
POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
Chains of Eternity Raids
- Basepop armor tables have been weighted to drop less leather, priest chain. Scout and Mage drops should be slightly higher.
Tallon’s Stronghold Raid
- This zone now rewards the proper amount of adventure XP.
ITEMS
- The HEIRLOOM tag has been added to all items flagged APPEARANCE-ONLY from the adornment removal process.
- Planar Mender’s Aura now increases ward values properly.
- Drinal’s Castle: 4 Soul Drinal Ethereal Breastplates have had their effects improved.
- Amalgamon: Totality of Elements – Weapons dropped by Amalgamon have been upgraded to be more in line with the challenge.
“Player strikethrough can now go over 50%.”
Can any one tell me when the cap for this was not 100%?
Would have thought the bit about adding the HEIRLOOM tag to dislodged items would be so you can move NO-TRADE stuff to alts for appearance, but it seems the NO-TRADE tag wins and won’t let you. Kind of odd seeing an item with both NO-TRADE and HEIRLOOM on it though. What was the point of this change? Items marked ATTUNABLE are unchanged, so this doesn’t seem to have accomplished anything.
Strikethrough seems to me to still be a near useless stat. From everyone I’ve talked to about it, Accuracy is a much more effective stat to stack. If I remember right some people experimented by getting Strikethrough up to ridiculous levels and the effect was minimal.
Well if the cap on Strikethrough as bin 50% this whole time then getting it up over that before today would be useless. but the dev’s in the past led me to be leave that the cap was 100% before know.
I am shocked that everyone seems to be glossing over the fact that Adventure experience is no being awarded properly in Tallon’s Stronghold Raid.
I sure hope I can find a PUR for it tonight!
Ya, tallons easy mode use to give awesome amounts of xp, was only a matter of time before they adjusted it to match the other raid zones.
For those appearance items they should just eat remaining adorns and make the appearance stuff brokerable items. Who would it really hurt?
Through a lot of raid time and experimenting I have seen much better results with hit rates through weaponry skills: Pierce, Slash, Crush etc. than with stacking accuracy. It could be the reason you saw poor results with strikethrough was due to the fact that it capped at 50%. Our MT was noting a significant difference with strike through after this update so that’s a plus.
