Your updates notes for today, March 24, 2011, include several crash fixes, problems linking items in chat, Auction channel spam, and also some substantial nerfs to Critical Mitigation on Destiny of Velious gear.
GENERAL
- Fixed a client crash issue.
- Fixed a bug where some auction channel messages would not be passed through the spam filter.
- Fixed a bug that allowed NO-TRADE currencies to be put into the shared bank.
- Fixed a bug with linking items in chat.
ZONE PROGRESSION / POPULATION
- Fixed zone crashes associated with some RAID NPC curses.
Tower of Frozen Shadow: Shadowed Corridors
- The Armored Presence should respawn more reliably when his encounter is broken.
- Alvik the Cold will now warn players slightly before he begins to heal himself.
- Spectral Librarian Emiida should say something when casting “Gather Knowledge” and “Project Knowledge” that is more appropriate to what players need to do to avoid the spells.
Forgotten Pools
- The red/blue room buffs from Forgotten Pools will no longer function outside of the zone.
ABILITIES
- Freeblood summoning their bat swarm will no longer be knocked off their feet.
- You can no longer stack ability mod bonus on your pet.
Warrior
- Exploding Heart will trigger properly once again.
LIVE EVENTS
- Live Event dance spells can no longer trigger procs.
- Allizewsaur now has all his sounds.
- Quillmane’s wings no longer stutter when he descends.
- The Ancient Cyclops in Portal to the Past: Southern Desert of Ro should once again drop his chest if killed after he has defeated players the first time.
- Fixed an issue where the Ancient Cyclops could become unkillable.
- Path to the Past: Qeynos Ruins should once again give a 18 hour lockout when completed.
- Pyzjn should now award AA experience when killed.
TRADESKILLS
- Fixed the tradeskill progress tool-tip on the character window.
QUESTS
Public Quests
- The Storm Gorge cavalry updates for Velium Coldain Insignia Ring are now granted all at once when the cavalry wave is cleared, instead of one at a time.
- Ring War will never drop optimal loot for players who only take on the final stage, as intended.
- Players at public quests who stand around AFK and only participate at the end will get worse loot than before, in general.
Great Divide
- Drammind Gul should no longer be in two places at once.
- The book necessary for “Flight Reading” should now have a sparkle effect on it.
- The Freeblood “Cloud of Bats” ability should now give better directions on how to acquire the flight power.
- ROI’s have been added to Drammind’s quest series.
- Goahmari and Rime forces outside of the Goahmari Village will no longer lock the encounter preventing quest updates.
ITEMS
- Rebalanced some of the quest reward, non shard, and PQ armor items to be more inline with their challenge level.

Is ANYBODY working on itemization in this game any more? Sheesh, I wonder what devastation will be dealt to my toons this time…
To be expected is:
– Fighter armor from the Rime zones gets nerfed to same critmit levels as the nerfed PQ armor (95% for the whole set)
– Fighter armor frmo the Kael zones gets nerfed to the same critmit levels as the armor you can buy at Clan Ry’Gorr (110% for the whole set iirc)
So, for those who geared up in heroic gear, it’s yet another ~60% critmit loss.
I didn’t need that Crit Mit anyway, it’s not like they made it the most important stat in the game or anything. Just keep giving me more meaningless attack speed. CAN’T GET ENOUGH!

Crit mit change are surnaturel lol. Our tank is very happy went from 171 to 111 and i bet it will not alone. What the point to get kael gear if it dont allow you to tank in kael (remember it requierd 155 minimal ?) Even with yellow adornement is max is now 126 …
Even with 171 iceshard mob was able to kill him one shot sometime while doing bad pull i wonder how it will be now, did those zone will become … empty ?
While i bet the Ascent Etin Name on the Trio still bug the enconter.
You know the one where you must kill the name… If for any reason you break the enconter after have kill the name, his both guard are totaly invulnerable at next enconter.
(Once we manage to have one epicx4 aggroed from here and wiped us… i wonder how we have done that)

171 crit mit… getting one shotted… Yeah, pretty sure your failing on some other level. Crit mit is not an end all be all stat.

But he tank fine all name of the zone, it’s just trash who got some special ability who was always hitting harder than name can do ,)

Wrong SOE. He is still unkillable. His health will not drop beyond 95%. It just heals right back up. Same for the giant spider. Plus when the NPCs lock into combat with him they stay on him forever preventing you from getting anything for killing him if you ever manage to. Seriously what is the test server used for these days? It’s obviously not being used for testing content before it goes live…
Wizards have been bitching cause conjies wearin’ them out… so you guys nerf ALL pets… including the Necro pets/Class, who just got back to being wanted in a good group… now you nerf them, because of conjies or w/e… you people SUCK ASS… NERF the god dang problem… Not the population, you bunch of inbred, 4 inch, glasses wearing mofo’s… No wonder I see all the advertisements for rift… Might just try it out after having an account with EQ1 since 1999 and EQ2 since 2004…
