From the EQ2 Forums:
Hail Norrathians,
Now that server merges are complete, we want to give you the option to move your characters to a server where you can play with your friends. Starting on at 10AM PST* onThursday, December 3, and running until around 12PM PST* (noon) on Thursday, December 10, 2015, players will have the option for one FREE server transfer for each of their characters, between the following servers:
- Antonia Bayle
- Halls of Fate
- Maj’Dul
- Skyfire
How Do I Transfer for Free?
Check your mailbox! Characters will have a free transfer token waiting for them. Using this token will let you move one time between eligible servers.
Note: This is a one way move. Before using this token please be very sure of the server you want to transfer to. Your free transfer token can NOT be used a second time.
Which server will you choose to play on after this week of free transfers?
I’m curious to know if this is for all or just members only.
“This is a one way move…” After eleven years, you will be canceled with no notice. 😉
Antonia Bayle awaits you, adventurer!
LOL I was thinking about leaving AB now that their are other populated servers…
AB is an awesome server and because of its longstanding population history, AB is home to the coolest players in EQ2. We welcome newbies, casuals and raiders alike.
Fortitude of AB is recruiting exceptionalplayers.
I didn’t want to move for a few months until all the dust had settled. I see no need for an expiry date on these tokens. A lot of people will move at the last minute just to use the token before it’s gone. I know that DBG want to make money from selling server transfers, but you should be able to keep your one time free server transfer.
In standard SOE fashion, when they announced that “all players” on affected servers will be able to transfer for free, they actually meant “only subscribers”.

This might be worth a front page article; I’m sure it’s newsworthy to all the non-subscription players.
I want to move, but don’t want to lose my guild hall, etc, so I guess I will have to pass, but I will have to remember not to complain about it again.
