From the EQ2 Forums:

This week on the Jethal Silverwing Show.. Jethal and Elquin either have the show of their dreams, or get their accounts banned for life, as they are joined by Sony Online Entertainment President, John Smedley!  Do YOU have a question for The Smed? Leave your question Here and we’ll make sure to get the answer you’re lookin for!

Tuesdays at 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific
As Always, Join us IN GAME by typing /join antonia_bayle.ogr

and an update from Jethal:

Just wanted to state that, some of the comments being sent in for my interview with John Smedley may actually be better suited for Dave Georgeson, the Producer of EQ2.. Dave is in direct charge of EQ2. But, don’t worry, your comments are not being buried, I’ll pass them on to Smed..

that being said.. be warned that we’ve recieved A LOT of questions and comments from people all over the place.. some good, some bad.. and unfortunately, far too many to get them all in the show – i think.  We’re gonna cover as much as we can in the time we have, and I promise you, every email I recieved will be given to him.

Bless Smed’s heart! Excuse me if I feel slightly cynical about the odds of him answering anything specific about EQNext or how the creep of actual game changing items into the Station Marketplace continues. But, you never know.

I hope Jethal and crew can condense all the Q&A into the most important issues and we can all hear some interesting answers.

Forget EQNext, I want to hear about EQ2 🙂 Now that’s great to see Smedley getting personally involved with EQ2 again, it can only be good for the game.

Yeah, I really don’t want EQNext, I just want marketplace to be abolished and marketplace items to be attainable in-game… Buy to win, what a joke…

Can’t they just sell more tangible real life items to make money instead of charging 20-25 dollars for a pegasus? I’d love real trading cards too… I’m a major fan of Trading Card Collecting (as long as they aren’t digital and I get actual cards, alas I haven’t been getting them for several years now).

We never got anything but a griffawn to fly on, while we all wait for carpets to actually be able to fly – but the marketplace gets all the cool flying mounts for a mere bargain of $20-$25 dollars a pop ? That’s enough to buy me an entire other video game (granted on sale)!
